Root [KERNEL][MS870][LOKI] Freedom Kernel Overclocked

GT once again you are the man. But honestly guys, this phone is fast enough for me as it is. I might give this a try out, but I'm not into sacrificing battery usage for oc'ing when imo this phone is fast as shit otb. But seriously nice work cranking out new toys for us GT, much respect sir

Same here. I wiped cache and dalvik before flashing but wouldn't boot til I used Bliss Magic Recovery to flash back to semistock

Could you please link me to the source you've used? The recovery and factory kernel? I need to use my phone today and was hoping to not have to flash back to stock and reroot, etc. etc.

Welp I took the link down. For you guys who it's working for enjoy. ;)

I'm thinking that for those who this isn't working for, it may be because I set the interactive governor as default. This phone is uses performance governor by default on stock which drains hella battery.

In conclusion, I'm willing to build a new kernel with a potential fix if someone would test for me. Let me know...

You need the Recovery http://androidforums.com/spirit-4g-...mod-recovery-touch-lg-spirit-lgms870-l1m.html

And Kernel

To get working again, but if you didn't have recovery already then not sure how you flashed the Zip. Hopefully you have recovery otherwise not sure how to fix...

Thanks but I just went back to sstock... Ill start fresh. Thanks for the repsonse. I am sure someone else will need it

GT i got no problems testing it out. Let me know
Thanks, I'll begin building now. ;)

Quick tip for everyone....
You don't need to unbrick if something goes wrong. If you have PG's recovery installed, from power off hold power & vol- until a screen pops up saying if you want to reset. Agree to everything, don't worry it will not reset, it will then boot you into CWM recovery and you can flash another kernel or restore a backup.

Just did this lol

I'll test as well , I got a bad DL first try . About 74.34k , its suppose to be 6 something mb . Damn weird browsers , thanks again .

I'm curious why some people had no problem with the Kernel... Were their settings already set to "Interactive"?

EDIT - The Kernel = Ze Colonel!!! Lmao <------

Ok so I just flashed a new version I built, and again it's working just fine for me.

I sent one of you a PM to test it. So check to see if it is you. lol

Now we wait for confirmation. ;)

If you want another tester I'll be glad to try. I got everything backed up and true recovery installed with the other kernel ready to flash just in case :)

Man!!!

F**k ya!!!

I'll admit though when it first started up my touch screen didn't work for About Ten Secs Then It Started Working Fine.

Once flashed it brought up Security error for half a second then continued to boot normally. It booted hella fast!! Then ran into no touch response for five to ten secs then it started working normally. It runs quick as hell.
