Root [KERNEL]SpeedDemon V5.6 (Performance & Battery Improvements) - MIUI Kernel

Thanks MotoTriumphGuy!

I updated to v4.5 and i can not connect to wifi anymore

it keeps scanning trying to obtain ip then it just keeps on going into a loop, and if i manually try to connect, it says invalid password
Try reflashing(reflashing update of ROM) MIUI, then reflash this kernel.

I tried out DARKSIDE for a day and noticed that there is a little more battery drain and it sometimes almost freezes doing simple tasks like SMS. I'm using InteractiveX and its working great so far! Do you know how DARKSIDE is different from the others? This kernel is awesome!

ok...that fix the wifi, thx austrie

from the notes: you increased the usb draw charge, does that mean no more overcharge protection? I usually plug my phone in before sleep, so it would be at 100% for 5-6 hours...would that be a problem?

Thanks MotoTriumphGuy!

Since MIUI has trickle charging(slowly charges once it reaches 90% so it doesnt overcharge), it would me safe to charge overnight.

The MT starts trickle charging around 90%, but it continues after 100%. Up to even an hour afterwards, then the internal circuitry shuts it down. To get a sense of this use a battery current monitor widget. I think it's fairly safe, but usually the first phase of charging should not be more than 0.7C (where C is capacity, about 1400 mAh in MT). That means about 980 mA, which is what I observed when charging in CM7 on an AC socket (USB is slower). Batteries are more stressed when they're at 100%, so should not be at that state for long if possible.

Charging Lithium-Ion Batteries ? Battery University

Installed No-frills CPU, IndrediControl, and Quadrant.
Using MIUI 11.25
Wiped Dalvik Cache, flashed SD.
running 1.402/61MHz/smartassV2 perfectly, benchmarked @ 3136
I don't game heavily so didn't top it out since there's no need for me too.
Just going to find a nice mean between extra speed and battery life.
I was cruising around checking everything out and didn't have any problems with anything. No problems with my wifi.
Great job on this Austrie! :D

Hey, just wondering, what did you set the multitouch limit to? I can only get two points with your kernel installed.

Yeah having a good ol time here too. I switched to mock on the 3.5 release because it boot looped for some reason but came back this version. I bench at 2Ghz a max of 4500 and with wifi off I get great battery life. So good job. The only thing left I'm holding out for is hdmi and honestly I don't know if I'd have used it at all if I had it anyways.

Just have a froyo Nandroid backup ready to restore to when you need HDMI, then restore back to MIUI.

Hi... I just tested the v4.5 in my CSL MI410/ Ideos X6 variant. I'm using MIUI 1.11.25. And here is the result:

1. I test the games....great rendering 3D and 2D. (Only NOVA 2 HD not work)
2. Wifi... can't connect, it connect once, but then can't connect.... it can't found the online hotspot after that.
3. Camera working, except the front camera is flipped upside down.

This kernel is great... but Wifi is very important, it need to solved....

Once it solved, is nearly perfect!

Well even if the CSL MI410 is a Ideos X6 variant, there are a bit of software differences between each phone, this was meant for the Motorola Triumph variant. So yes, you will get weird problems here and there if you use it on a variant not meant for.

~~~
Got a couple more performance boosters for V4.7 and maybe a couple extra goodies...
Hi Austrie... since I interested with your great kernel... I tried to update the wifi module from triumph MIUI.... VIOLA.... wifi works on my CSL mi410!!! Including Native Wifi theter it works.
And now only the flipped upside down front camera issue, but never mind I almost never use it.
I love the 3D render games in your kernel... all layers shown. Also for 2D!
Thanks a lot....!!!
PS: Native torch FC
Austrie, thank you for developing SD Kernel and all your time spent in the forum.
On 4.5, 1.5Ghz-122Mhz, InteractiveX, SIO, getting Quadrant 2586. No issues to report other than others are achieving higher benchmarks for similar settings. After setting the above and getting things stable, I tried Incredicontrol. First change I made was a single change (all) to the left column (-.25mv) and it immediately started acting very laggy, and then started bootlooping on me. After a battery pull the settings reverted and I was able to get back in and turn off Incredicontrol. Unless I figure out what I did wrong, I probably won't try under-volting again.
Since you're overclocked, you can't just lower the default voltage for 1.5 Ghz (1200 mV I believe). You have to at least keep it at that, or boost it if you want to go higher frequencies (beware of long-term damage from heat). For the lower frequencies 122,245,300-400 you can try lowering the values individually for those for undervolting.
Thanks, V5.0 has its couple handy extra features, new governor, battery life improvements, and more performance; everything will be in the changelog. NOOP I/O has better quadrants than SIO, but SIO is better when it come to real-time performance, so I'm sticking with SIO. V5.0 Should be really great, then after V5.0 it should be only medium to small update after.
Sorry about wait time, I ran into a build error, and two of the "things" I added I needed to remove. I'm trying to fix this problem.
