Root [KERNEL]SpeedDemon V5.6 (Performance & Battery Improvements) - MIUI Kernel

Out of curiosity, what is the new governor you are going to add? They just keep coming, I didn't know they were that many android governors.

Ok, I got rid of all the build errors, i'm building right. I had to removed 5 different features, which include 2 governors, after I got tired of trying to fix the problems. I guess I'll add the stuff I remove, plus new stuff going to be added, to V6.0.

V5.0 Should still be good though; and Chingling there many governor, mostly because normal android devs, can make there own governors too. They(Developers) edit different governors together, or edit just one to meet the needs/expectations of the developer for there phone or android in general.

The link works, just click on it.

Oh the link works huh?

Reup to mediafire Please.

Thank you so much for this Kernel Austrie! it runs like a boss, i'm getting 4442 in quadrant (2ghz performance governor) and I really like the amount of options when it comes to governors to experiment with for everyday use. Keep up the fantastic work!

ok sorry for trying to be funny. i have a concern. i know that there have been reported two kinds of triumph, the oddball, but i cant overclock over 1.8. i dont really want to use my phone at anything past 1.6 really, but not being able to go to 2.0 makes me think my 1.6 isnt as good as someone elses. please help me out with this. i just want to know!

Well there really isn't oddball, the only reason it had a oddball one is because the normal one didn't set the min and max freq(because of developer, though he didn't know), so you would get a random freq if you flash the normal one. Though not all CPU's are made equal, mostly only affecting of high or how low it can handle(thresh hold), example, kind of like on a manufacturing line, it have the stuff(electronic, food, etc) not all of them come out equal. Like in box of Sprite, 3 out of 12 cans might have a dent in them; but the freqs are the same no matter the CPU, though the freq performance and battery life depends on the Governor, I/O, and if you undervolt.

I don't recommend undervolting frequencies 1.1Ghz and up

ok cool. thanks for that. what i/o would you recommend. and what do the different ones do. ive been on vr for some time and just switched to deadline, but i see no difference.

NOOP and SIO is the best, NOOP has better quadrants but SIO has better UI smoothness. That's why I put SIO as default, I perfer real-time-performance over performance scores.

Hi Austrie.... great job...! It's great to add so many features.

I want to know about [EXPERIMENTAL] things specially for Lower Wifi Voltages, do you mean you decrease the wifi power? Is it going to decrease the wifi range also?
And about touchscreen driver changes, what the different with the previous one?

Thanks...

Certainly this kernel makes everything feel a bit smoother. I'm also waiting to see the differences in battery drain. Thanks for the great work!

The lowered WiFi voltages should only affect how much power WiFi uses, and I didn't just lower the voltages a little, I lowered it by a lot it by 1/4 of its normal power usage. That's why I put as '[EXPERIMENTAL]'; and the increase volume is experimental because I'm not sure how much it works. The touchscreen driver changes is just small changes.

Just trying to make MIUI run better.

hi guys, new triumph user- installed everything yesterday without out a hitch, 1.517 Max 245 min
smartassv2 and vr for io.
question one what's best io and governor to use?
I'm new to overclocking an hndervolting.

and incredicontrol....yea have yet to touch it- no clue what I'm doing .....noob

I want perfect balance of overclocking and battery use....and help would be great. remember I know nothing about this except flashing roms lol

I would recommend testing a good minimum frequency that fits you(if you haven't already), then I would also recommend keeping the I/O as SIO. Then as for the governor, I would recommend using savagedzen or smartassV2 as a starter; but I would strongly recommend trying/testing other governors after you try smartassV2 or savagedzen.

Incredicontrol(Undervolting), edits the how much mV(power) each frequency uses; It's safer (bootlooping is still possible though) to undervolt frequencies 1.0Ghz and lower, but as for 1.1Ghz and higher it's more dangerous because of those frequencies already being at a good amount, if you go to low (for a frequency) you will bootloop. Each frequency needs at least a certain amount of power(each frequency have different amounts needed), though everyone's phone is different so there's no set minimum for any frequency. You can undervolt 1.1Ghz and up if you want to save more power. When undervolt you can see that as you go higher the power usage amount goes higher, you can only undervolt in steps of 25(25 - 50 - 75 - 100...). If you bootloop at any frequency, I would recommend adding more power to the frequency, like if your phone cant handle 1.6Ghz and up then should try to add more power to the frequencies and see if your phone can handle it/them then.

so hit - and bring them to 1000? lol most are are 1000 and go up as you go down line - sorry if I'm pain...changed io to sio ;-)

Asking questions is great, no matter how simple it is or how many times you ask questions.

Each time you hit the minus sign it lowers it by 25, as for the plus sign adds 25. How low you want to bring any frequency is up to you.

As for me I'm at 576Mhz max and 24Mhz min, smootass, and SIO.
My undervolt table I'm personally using is:
24MHZ - 500
61Mhz - 500
122Mhz - 500
245Mhz - 500
368Mhz - 525
460Mhz - 550
576Mhz - 600

I am smooth as hell, no lags.

ok- trial and error. ill give it a go thanks I appreciate your help. I will post later with results of sweet spot for me

Added original MIUI kernel for when you bootloop from any kernel features you messed with, such as undervolting. Though you will still be zip aligned since zip aligning is in init.d so even when you go back to stock you will still have a performance boost.
