Root [KERNEL] ZVC Overclocked to 1.2GHz/1.3GHz *FINAL* [UPDATE 5/10]

Based on the above I switched yesterday. The kernel seems very solid and the performance is good.

There are quite a few releases for the Marquee. Monster, your insight was very helpful. I believe using CTMod3.6 and ndno's oc kernel may be the best we have right now as far as performance and working features. Possibly there are other combinations for people with other requirements. I am on boost and mainly email and surf video.

This is one of the most entertaining forums I have seen. Worth getting the phone just to participate!
 
has ndno's 1.4v been tested on the marquee and if so is it stable thanks for the advice u guys u make it so easy for people to understand how to root
 
can one of guys post a pic of how the kernal should say on the phone info becuz mine says 2.6.35.7v and i dont think thats wat its suppose to say if u installed it correctly?

I just updated the date to when I posted 1.3GH UV version. Been too busy... will probably not get a chance to work on anything until after this week :(

I'll try a 1.4GHz UV soon. Does everyone still want to give this phone more crack? It's crazy fast already at 1.3GHz... for me, I've been using 1.0GHz UV with the 3D boost for the last week and I love it; I get over a day of battery life with normal usage :) I can watch YouTube and Netflix smoothly over 3G :) I don't play games much just simple games so I don't need the crazy speed.

How's the CM7 progress going? The Optimus Black kernel link you gave me seems like it's for CM7. Would like to get some kernel tweaks in from that repository or other working OMAP 35xx 36xx repositories.

yeah it was for cm7 and stock i thought (maybe not?)

i would love to test the 1.4ghz, i dont think we need to go much farther than that tho

Sorry, no time to work on an obsolete "old" version. You're better off upgrading the software on your phone to be ZV9 based. Not sure why you would want to stay on ZV3 when ZV9 fixes a few stuff and there are ROMs for ZV9 (Monsters' and Blood's).

Please use bloodawn's kernel going forward ; he has unlocked the full speed potential of this phone with his latest version. This thread is now obsolete.
