please understand there is horrible things happening in Africa and other third world countries. this man has been turning little girls into sex slaves and little boys into child solders for 20 years! no one has stopped him and no one cares so watch this video you wont regret it its well worth your time.

We have several wars going on, oil prices at record levels driving gas prices way up, an economy that's in total chaos, jobless rates at an all time high, homelessness rates up 185% over 5 years, sick people having their social security and medical assistance taken away...and everyone is outraged over this guy in Africa? Jesus people, how about getting angry and passionate over issues in your own backyard?
 
The Ugandan government has been after this guy for 20 years. Suddenly, it's an Internet cause celebre that must be solved ASAP. I don't get it.
 
He has been killing and raping for 20 years do we stand back and watch? We have issues but we need to help others
 
I'm going to have to agree with the other guys. We need to take care of the problems in our own country first. We have people starving in Alabama, why should we make this a priority? Every single time I see a commercial that says "For $1 a day you can save a child in Africa" it really infuriates me. Yes they are starving and need help, the people in their country should help them. The people in the US should help their own country first. Celebrities will donate to African charities and not donate $0.01 to an American charity. (Just because it's the cool thing to do.) Think about all of the people that are struggling to survive in our own country.

I hope I didn't offend you, I just don't think it's the right thing to do.
 
i undersytand we are all optionated we do need to help ouselvs but what kiny did is still wrong and aftrica has been trying for 20 years to stop him im not saying divert all forces to afdrica but just lend a hand where needed

So what you're saying is that in order to stop a rebel army that was raping and pillaging 5 years ago we need to send money to fund a state sponsored army that will rape and pillage today?
 
no we need to send some of our own solders stationed with the donations of people who care for the cause to help train the African army with the technological required to find him

It looks like the US started doing that in October:

In October 2011, Obama authorized the deployment of approximately 100 combat-equipped U.S. troops to central Africa. They will help regional forces

Our soldiers don't go anywhere on donations. They go on tax dollars.

You're not skeeved out at all by the organization putting out this video?
 
You want information about that? And what exactly we do with the information if we ever look for it.?
 
Well, I don't see it as a complete scam. 9/10s of their money goes to either advertisement/marketing, the people they help and things like that but I DO have to agree that it definitely can be seen as that way and cannot call the people that see it that way wrong.
 
this is my response to the video that I put on face book

"it's great seeing so many people supporting a cause such as this, but as he says in the video, you can't let your voice die down in causes like these. and thats true, once kony is brought down we need to keep our voices heard, and help fix the rampant issues in all of uganda involving evil warlords and corrupt military groups. One man is a start lets ride this to the end and help make all of Uganda a safer place!"

if all people do is get rid of kony, all thats going to happen is one of his subordinates who has worked with him for years will come to power and do the same thing. That would actually be worse since kony has been inactive for years.

I find it great that people are caring, but how many are caring to seem popular and how many truly give a rats ass.
