Root Latest Flytouch 3 Custom and Modded Roms-updated

I'm finding that the Dolphin Browser is painfully slow, is this normal? In contrast Opera Mini is quite quick but does not support Flash 10.1.

Why not use them both intelligently then; Opera for 'speedy browsing' and the porpoise for the Flash stuff...

Dolphin works fine for me, I have no problems with it.

I see Opera Mobile supports Flash but I can't download it, does anyone have any experience of this browser

I have now managed to install both Opera Mobile 10.1 & 11 but neither will run iPlayer. These as well as Dolphin HD come up with the message that they need Flash, I know that Flash 10.1 is already loaded, however, not its not possible to download whatever is the latest version of Flash from the Marketplace.

The standard Android browser runs iPlayer ok but only in full screen and with lip sync problems.

Does anyone know why I'm having these issues and whether Tim4 would resolve them

Yes.

It is infinitely better than the stock browser with: multiple tabs, flash support, BBC iPlayer and much, much more besides.

I just point Dolphin at BBC iPlayer - iPlayer Radio Home, select my programme and it plays [video or radio] with virtually no problems.

The 'problems':

  1. If you select full screen it will lock up your tablet.
  2. If you switch away from the application it will stop playing [very annoying for Radio] and when you return the video is replaced by a white box. Simply reload the page and the programme will resume playing from slightly before it stopped.

So, as far as I'm concerned, it works perfectly. Some other people have been unable to repeat my experiences but they run Tim's firmware and I run s0I's which may - or may not - explain our different experiences...

I hope this is what you wanted to hear.

i dun get why every sticks with tim 4e :
the menu runs way smoother,
didnt find any bugs jet,
makes tablet faster,
better look,
easy to make schortcuts...

so...why?

It comes down to tiny little differences and personal preference. I tried 4e and 5a. 5a felt a little faster, but 4e felt smoother, like swiping and apps opening. Not everyone experiences the same issue as everybody elses so why upgrade if you are not having problems?

because its even better xP

No currently there are no custom roms for the P041 but hopefully soon they have only been out a couple of weeks.

ON youtube, if you type "flytouch 5", you can see a tablet that looks like ours in almost everyway, but running android 2.3! Anyway we can get this on our tablet or is someone working on this already and I missed a post? Thanks!

Similar in every way because it is. GPS no internal 3g, claims cpacitive but specs say resistive. As far as the 2.3 can't that be faked in the build prop or somewhere?

I have seen a few sites selling these, but some call them flytouch 4 and some flytouch 5. I don't trust their specs and never have. I live in Taiwan and check out and cross check many times before I buy China gadgets. So....the specs are all over the place. So....did someone buy one of these or can confirm 2.3 after having used one. I have never seen the android # faked so far on youtube and I have seen this guy do many videos on youtube. Basically, this pad is out there somewhere, but the most important thing is...can we get it to our flytouch 3?

Hi,

I am using the superpad 3 flytouch 2 tablet. I just upgraded the to 5a firmware. After upgrading i am unable to connect to goolge as it is always trying to using the phone communication channel to connect to internet. It is not taking the wifi connection to connect to internet. Wifi is working on browser but when i try launching market application it is failling. is there a fix for this issue?

Does anubody know if the firmware will ever be modified to support a 32GB internal card?

Since IBEX sells a 32GB Flytouch 3 which has an internal micro SD card, is it safe to say that the answer to this question is "yes"? I am interested in buying a 32GB micro SD card for the Flytouch 3. Thanks.

You have to use GScript to Enable Telephony Apps as they are off by default.

Hi, my first post, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here, reading through these posts helped me with my new Flytouch 3 512mb 8GB. I took a gamble and bought it off Ebay UK for

It is "yes." I put a 32GB card in my Disco10 and flashed TIM 4d2 and 5A. works fine.

Hey Guys, I'm pretty new to the game of tablets and I recently purchased this SP3. It was running fine for the first hour or so. Then it started to malfunction with constant program closing errors and now the WiFi feature shuts down anytime that I engage it. Here are the specs as follows:

SuperPAD 3
Model Sawee10
Android Version V2.2-20110816
Kernel version 2.6.32.9
gejunjun@semitime-server#3
Build Number FRF85B

Are there any HW updates out there than can resolve these issues or do you think that it's best to return the item? Please reply when able. Thanks.

I recently received my flytouch 5 but the model number is yospad....it is running 2.3 but there doesnt seem to be any roms for it yet. I would like to get my adhoc working as im on the go a lot. Right now i just have a temporary root with z4 but looking for something more robust. Please keep your ears and eyes open and pm me or just reply if anyone has news.:o

I've recently purchased what I thought was going to be a SuperPad III / Flytouch III, but when it arrived the box said "SuperPAI III". I'm strongly considering flashing it with tim5a, but want to know if there's any way for me to backup the original factory ROM before rooting the tablet (just in case something goes wrong, so I can restore it back to it's shipping condition).

Specs as I've been able to find them using Android System Info (downloaded from the market) are as follows:

Android version: 2.2
Release Codename: REL
API LEVEL: 8
CPU ABI: armeabi

Bootloader: unknown
