Root Latest Flytouch 3 Custom and Modded Roms-updated

First I would contact your seller and tell him the pad is hanging on boot and that you have been told the way to fix it is flash the firmware. Then just download the file they link you to and hang on to it. It's funny but a lot of sellers are actually linking users back to Tim's roms. Some will just tell you where to look for a custom rom.

Thank you Rabid1, I went ahead and installed Tim's 5a anyway. So far, I'm loving it, just need to re-read through this forum again on how to fix the camera and better keyboard8.
 
Hello, i have a very big problem, I tryed to put the 5a rom to my flytouch3, and the screen is skewed, it is about one cm in the top of the display in landscape mode, if i turn it to the portaint, the edge of the picture is not on the display, pls help me, i have it for one day and i don't want to throw it out :S PLease, Regrads Peter

Open GScript and run the script to fix the kernel for 1024X576 and reboot
 
I can't get angry birds. It does not even appear in market.

Tried downloading apologize and it says not compatible with my pad, but I had it on here before I upgraded to Tim 6A


Any ideas?

There is a version of the original Angry Birds that is 12,528KB. Search for AngryBirds.apk and you may find it. On my FT3 it installs fine and does not have the graphics glitch other versions have. I see that the Market has only Rio and Seasons on it.
 
hi i am all new to this and cant seem to find roms that will work with my model of fly touch pls help this is the info from my settings

Hello I have a flytouch clone with android 2.2 kernel version2.6.32.9 release FRF85B.

Is it a backward step installing Tims 6a bearing in mind that it is based on 20110803 and mine has a version date of 2011-09-13.

Ah - 2 TF Card slots - tim or funnycomb roms are not compatible with these models.

Go back to supplier and see if:

There is a stock rom
There is possibly custom rom

If not - you are stuck with what you have, if you are happy then all is good :)

If I had done my homework and research before purchasing a flytouch, I would not have bought this model.

I would always buy a model that is compatible with tim rom or other such roms.

There is no bad clones, just different clones, all flytouch are clones of each other, there is no genuine model.

I have no view on the model you bought as I have never had it in my hands, but if it does what you want it to do and you have good customer support, then you may be happy with what you have, it is only when it goes wrong and you have to get it fixed will you know that what you have bought is worth the money.
 
Thanks... Yes I am happy as I was after an open ended ebook reader.I have seen the prices of kindles and the like and think that they are expensive for what you get and compared to a tablet.

If I had done my homework ... the story of my life really! I did not quite imagine that there was such a large community.
 
So your apps choice from google market apps is limited, imo, the best thing you can do is either have an android phone so you can get the apps you want - then copy from the phone to the tablet, or google search for droidappz and see if their app and the way they do things suits your needs (some may not agree with their methods, but for us as consumers it works on our tablets).

i have the same tablet,i installed tims 6a and every thing works great!

Just received above tablet - looking at Tims Version 6 flash can this be used on this model without messing up internal card as I see there was a separate flash update for 16 gig users?

First time ever had anything android and know nothing (new user) - would welcome any advice. Do I need to backup standard system before flashing

We need the model number to be able to tell you 100% , but if it is an ibex you should have no issues.
