Root Latest Flytouch 3 Custom and Modded Roms-updated

I've just gone from Tim4a t the Tim4d2, and when I try to go into APN's in settings, all I get is Force close this program. It's a shame, because it was working fine in Tim4a

I was being stupid... 3G is disabled by default, so ran GScript, enabled it and rebooted. Jobs a good 'n' :o

Just installed Tim 4d2 version on a "Superpad III". (512 MB, 4 GB) and it runs perfectly. Upgraded from 3a (was having issues with 3d, so installed 3a) and now up to 4d2.

Backup with titanium backup, upgrade and restore apps. Everything working smooth.

Most important reason to upgrade: wanted to have CIFS working so I could mount my NAS. That works!!! No more ftp needed to access files on the NAS. Direct mounting is ok!

Hi,
I have a new flytouch 3 and i will update it. But the update process will not start. I have tested two cards and differant firmwares. The firmware files will be not detected. Any idea?

Hi, I upgraded from 3d...all the problems I had such as slow market download and internet browsing, no adhoc wifi with my Droid are fixed with the 4d version ... so far so good

Are you using a 32 gig card? If so, try using something smaller. I had the same problem using a 32 gig card. Tried a 4 gig, works fine every time. YMMV

Please can you help me? i flash my flytouch with the Tim's 4D2 and i have an APN'S problem. when i click on the network apn menu that crashs, can you help me please? thank you very much and nice post. Another question how can i move apps to my sd card? cause the app2sd just dont let me do it. thanks guys.

Just updated to tims latest version 4d. I'm having trouble connecting with WiFi. As I was attempting to connect with Google Account, it initiated the Wizard, asked for my WEP Code and Passward. It then attempted to associate my Cellphone number with my account. Well, since this is a FlyTouch and not my phone, it will not finish with the wizard. It attempts to connect to the Wi-Fi but then Disconnects....While attepting to use YouTube, it does the same thing and I am unable to log onto the Net?.....Any Advice for this issue?

I accessed Wireless & Network Settings - It says Obtaining IP Address From (Lastname) but never connects...Any Solutions?

GPS Question? GPS
If your gps is stuck in Shangai or not updating, you need to reset the agps data with the gps status software

in the menu => tool => Manage A-GPS state
do reset + download

Download Button is darkened out, I am unable to push that button?

When I select logViewer Icon I see the Following;
wpa_supplic...CONT-EVENT-STATE-CHANGE id=-1 state=-0
wifistatetrac New network state is DISCONNECTED
WPA-SUPPLIC no network configuration found for current IP
wifistatetrac chaning suplicant state DISCONNECTED

THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS BEING LISTED SOME HAVE CAPITAL LETTERS "V", "D", "I" WHICH ARE CONTAINED IN GREEN, GRAY, AND BLUE BOXES?

BASICALLY, I'M UNABLE TO CONNECT TO WIFI AND IT APPEARS THE SYSTEM DISCONNECTS THEN ATTEMPTS TO RECONNECT TO THE INTERNET?

I've used a 4 and 8 Gb Cards. Without success. I have the Build: FRF85B. They few threads about probs with this build.
What is the Model, Version and Kernel info?

Did you try this?
Flashing is as usual:
To install the firmware, download the .zip on a PC from the link below. Extract the contents of the zip on a PC and copy the two files to the root directory of a formatted TF- Flash Card (microSD-Fat32). Note* the root directory of the TF-card (microSD-Fat32) is the highest main directory location on the card, such as c:/ on a PC.

The two extracted files must be placed in the root directory of the TF-card (microSD-Fat32). Insert the card in to the Superpad2 FlyTouch3 and power on the tablet. The installation will be automatic.
*To improve stability and avoid corruption on tablets with unstable battery, make sure to flash and boot at least the first time while plugged in power*

I, too, cannot move apps to sd card with 4d2. The button is grayed out. I contacted the author of Apps 2 SD and he said it was something in the ROM not allowing it.

Installed Tims Rom d4 the other day and was running fine. Well, was kinda running somewhat smoothly. Now to day when I booted up I continue to get the following Message; The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
Any suggestions or are others having this issue also. I tried shutting down and rebooting but I'm still receiving the same error message!

I'd really like to know if there is anyone who owns a FlyTouch, has completed the Updates and has had absolutely no problems with this device?....I've owned this 2 days "Total". I've updated to Tims 4d2 and have had issues with the inability to connect to Wifi. Re-Flashed the 4d2 then was able to connect to Wifi. Great For me right? Try to run YouTube, it doesn't play video, then later in the afternoon it plays a video. Sometimes it plays sometimes "NOT". Leave this morning and plug FlyTouch in, return and turn it on. It boots up and takes the "LONG MINUTE" to boot, across the screen it reads; The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
With the option to force close, I do, Only to have it reappear. So, I say lets reflash Tims 4d2, right?! Intall Roms attempt to Boot....FlyTouch 3 Vibrates non-stop for a few minutes, until I remember that there is a reset button. Then boot up click on Wifi settings so I can connet to the Net, Driod Market, etc. Flytouch then trys to connect to the Wifi, conncting, disconnecting, connecting, disconnect, connecting, disconnecting, etc, etc. So while I've been here writing about these issues, I have just reflashed the device but failed to pull out the SD Card, So my dumb ass is gonna reflash this FlyTouch for like the 4 God Da** time!...Anyone feel my pain here?....Now, I've read about the issues of the so-called Flytouch issues. But I feel fairly confident about working through some small issues or tweaking this thing so it can work properly. It takes this thing an entire minute to boot up to the main window. Not an issue for me, but after Rooting, configuring the screen, Debugging, etc over and over again. I'm beginning to feel this FlyTouch isn't really a FlyTouch. Maybe its just a Piece of ?....Now....I think I'm feeling better now that I've got that statement off my chest...Honestly, I'm not here to complain but after following simple procedures that you people have posted. I'm just begining to think I'm spending more time trying to fix, re-refix, and re-fix the same damn issues over and over again! Anyone care to comment?.....Am I alone here or what?

Thanks to all for providing these wonderful upgrades.

I have similar problem of the 'Android.framework.process' stopping after upgrading to version 4d2. After running and installing more apk it seems Ok now... strange! Hope someone can comment... thanks.

Hello, I tried the Huawei EC122 after flashed the 4D2 ROM and run "3G Telephony apps On-Off".
But my flytouch3 has no any response after plug in EC122.

I use "logcat -b radio" to get the report, as follow:

Try Link2SD - i know that is is working

Here's what I am figuring out about this FlyTouch. I believe that if mutiple applications are running in the background and you attempt to run flash or some other resource gobbling Ap. The system becomes unstable. So, After using one or two applications its very important to STOP each of these processes using TASK MANAGER. At least that's what I believe to be one of my issues. Again, after using a few Applications, if they are running in the background its important ...VERY VERY IMPORTANT to kill those running in the background!....
