LauncherPro Discoveries

when i do that it just goes back to the home screen. is this because it is a version that i got with a theme and not the *real* version? i get that menu and then it will not let me select anything from it. just disappears...
 
you def got a problem there. Reinstall launcherpro.

if you click applications you should be getting the entire list of all the apps you have.
 
did a battery pull and restart and working fine now. long press + apps gives me everything i need. THANKS!!!

Maybe add that as a selectable option? I wouldn't see me using it but to each their own. Using a locked/bound dock method would be like adding an extra row of icons per screen...
 
I hope I am not repeating what someone already said, I am too excited to read through all the posts though.

With the last update, from what I can tell, there is now an option for the bottom dock spots to assign them a swype function.

Launch a different app
show screen previews
Open app drawer
Open notifications
show/hide status bar

If that isn't a reason enough to choose launcherPro I don't know what is!
 
Yea....it's a nice feature but I hate being restricted to swiping such a small space. Adw.launcher doesn't have that restriction with its gestures.
 
Installed LauncherPro earlier today. No lag to report so far. :D The scrollable icon at the bottom is godsend. Thank you for that discovery.
 
actually its way better that way because its specific to the icon. for instance i have my regular internet shortcut set to go to the default browser and a swipe on the browser brings up skyfire. camera swipe brings up video camera that sort of thing. it basicly doubles what you can do with the launcher. plus its nice to hide the notification bar and set the menu launcher swipe to show notifications. very very nice and something i never would have thought of.
 
The latest version, 7.2.0, has swipe gestures for icons in the icon dock. This is SO cool! You can now, for example, have an icon of, say, Maps, in the icon dock. Swiping up on that icon would take you to Nav.

Where do you find this option and what makes this different from just pressing the icon?

Edit: I found it, you can: Do nothing, Launch app, show screen previews, open app drawer, open notifications or show/hide status bar.
 
What is everyone putting on their docks?

I have a phone shortcut on all 3 docks.

Main Dock: Phone, texts, app drawer, Gmail, Email
Right Dock: Phone, market, app brain, contacts, internet
Left Dock: Phone, Music player, Photos, Camcorder, Camera

Left: Gallery, Messaging, App Drawer, Contact Search, Nav
Main: Phone, contacts, app drawer, text, browser
Right: Places, My Verizon, Scanner, Settings, Music
 
After you tap applications you need to wait... sometimes a LOOOOONG time for it to propagate the list of applications.

Added swipe gestures to my dock icons.

Main Dock:
Tap-Phone Swipe-Contacts (this is on all three docks)
Tap-Texts Swipe None,
App Drawer,
Gmail,
Email

Right Dock:
Tap-Phone Swipe-Contacts
Tap-Market Swipe-App brain,
Tap-Navigation Swipe-Car Mode
Tap-Contacts Swipe-None
Tap-Internet Swipe-None

Left Dock:
Tap-Phone Swipe-Contacts
Tap-Music Swipe-Sirius
Tap-Astro File Manager Swipe-AndFTP
Tap-Photos Swipe-Picsay
Tap-Camera Swipe-Camcorder

This is my first run, i'm sure it will change as soon as I hit submit.
