Has anyone figured out how to attach Bookmarks to a dock icon swipe?

Yes. Long press on whatever dock icon you want to assign the swipe to and when the edit menu comes up select swipe gesture action. Then select launch shortcut and then select bookmark. Voila.

Not on my Droid X. Doing the above only immediately launches the bookmark window without making it a swipe.

Yep, probably a dozen times by now, including installing 7.4.

It ain't happening as described in the instructions.

I assume you have successfully done this with your Droid X?

Mine doesnt work that way either. I can get a bookmark on the dock but here is what I have to do:

long press on the dock where you want it>change shortcut>bookmark> at this point the phone promts you to pick your bookmark. The Edit dock short cut menu comes back up, but I just press the back button and it goes away.

Yep. I just did it again to make sure. If I press my browser icon it opens up to google or whatever page I had on last time. I specifically made the swipe open up to a webpage I never use at all and it worked fine.

I have a question, if you follow the instructions I wrote above, when it opens up a list of your bookmarks are you choosing a specific bookmark to open? Not trying to insult your intelligence but it's hard to know what someone's comfort level is with technology from a few random posts.

It sounds like he wants the bookmarks page to open, not a specific website.. though I could also be misinterpreting.

Exactly right--I'm trying to get the bookmark window to open, not just one fixed bookmark tied to one website. This was supposed to be a feature of 7.4, but it doesn't appear to work.

I didn't know setcpu was operable yet...meaning i thought we had to wait until the bootloader was figured out. How do you find it working? What do you manipulate? Are you underclocking at certain times or what?

I underclock at this point... However, overclock was just made available yesterday, I believe. :) I'm underclocking to save battery and overheating, fyi.

This app author is nuts! The updates are fast and furious! My oh my. It's amazing! He's contributed to my loving my DX, for sure.

And, oh yeah, forgot about the pinch on the home screen feature! :):)

Hmm, mine doesn't for some reason. I just get the default 'no image' picture for each contact in the People widget.

Found this on the Launcher Pro Forum:

Yay! So I found a solution for missing Facebook pics in the People widget.

Download the app called "SyncMyPix" from the market. It's free and will sync your contacts with Facebook pics that are actually available to LauncherPro Plus.

I just tried it and it worked very well.

If it doesn't sync a photo because the names don't match. Go to "Results" inside SyncMyPix, long-press on their name and choose "Link picture to contact". Choose the contact in your phone and it will add their Facebook picture to that contact.

When you click on someone in the people widget, that bar of items appears over them showing all of the contact options your phone has for the individual (phone/message/email etc)
It's one of the lovely features of the paid for version!:D:D

Hmmm...Well i got the paid version last night and this doesn't happen for me. Tapping on a contact brings up the full-screen contact page for that person. Is there a setting somewhere that I need to enable? I'm running 0.7.4.0

Ah, if that is the case then my instructions won't work. Not sure if you can do that unless there is an app out there that specifically manages your bookmarks and then you can link to that.

I got the default Moto app drawer icon to work in LauncherPro. I've attached the PNG to this post. Copy it to your SD card, hold down on the App Drawer icon, choose App Drawer, choose Custom Icon, choose All Pictures, select Motorola Icon.

I tried this & everytime it rotates from portrait to landscape, it reverts back to the stock icon. How do you get the change to stick??

think someone said you have to change the icon to a blank icon and then to whatever you want it and it fixes it
