FYI - The audio loss issue is not user error, it's well documented. My wife's phone experienced it, back to 1.5 for her. My phone has been fine, however.

Yep, that one bit me pretty hard. I kept getting error messages for some google process, and my "Home" contact synced back & forth 50 times. Had to wipe & restore from the NAND image I created, and then go into gmail to delete all the excess contacts.
 
In case anyone is interested...

I had mentioned the other day how you can use the HelixLauncher from the market. I went ahead and pushed the live wallpapaper picker apk I got from XDA the other day and here is the result.

well i love the Leaked Ruu. i think is the best thing it could had happen to the hero!! and dont be afraid to use it, if you brick your phone you can get another one, we all pay insurance just droped into water and get another one, lolz, :D
 
quick questin if you rooted the RUU, and then you try to install the Ruu again would it work?? just asking because i coulnt do a nandroid backup!!
 
I rooted my phone and installed 2.1 the other day and still do not have all the facebook contacts sync'd correctly. Not only that it will not allow me to search for people on facebook either to connect to? ANyone else having this issue still or know how to solve it?

This is what worked for me:

Remove your FB account. Re-add your FB account (HTC Sense One if it asks you, I believe). Manually refresh sync. It will take a bit, but all will show up.
 
The only problem I seem to be having is with the app store, doesnt list my previously downloaded apps, and I dont remember a couple of them that I want back.
I did the flash to fix the market and its working fine except for that

if you did the market fix don't forget to go and clear the market cache. then reboot and you should be able to find the missing apps. they most likely won't be listed under downloads, but it hasn't failed me with the several installs i had to do with 2.1.

Several installs?? Why several? Im researching this hard and trying to decide if i should do the RUU to non rooted hero, so thats why im asking. Has anyone had trouble with this RUU with Win 7?

I just received a tweet that said that Sprint is still on target for early Q2.

Of course, their web site was supposed to be down for a few hours, and is still down into the third day.

i had issues due to my using mybackup pro to restore my contacts. it took me several attempts to realize that was it and then to fix it. sooo, yeah. but now everything is working super. well, minus the new 3d gallery runs pretty slowly.

honestly, you're gonna have to do a search or just thumb through the lists. that is how i did it. i don't like restoring my apps because i don't know of a way that puts 'em on my phone AND in the marketplace when i restore them from SD.

If they are free apps they are not really listed any where! It's only the paid apps that are always there!
Although I have had a couple of instances where I was flashing roms and when I went to the market my unpaid apps were still there, but the next time I went back they were gone, it might have been when I was going from one Rom to an update, not really sure!
For the most part the free ones don't show!

I'm curious as to what folks who have loaded the LEAK are seeing? I got a warning that I was at 19% memory, so I unloaded a bunch of extra apps and I'm still hovering between 19% and 21% free phone memory.

Never mind - I used the SystemPanel app to clear cached data and apps and now I'm at 48% memory free.

I noticed the same. I got almost 3.2 Mb/s.

If you guys are running low on RAM the easiest fix is to download autokiller from the market. If you set it to aggressive your phone will run well and always have about 60-80 MB free.

My problem is that there are so many new apps in the market that I am running out of space in system memory. Down to 18 MB now. Probably going to have to setup a2sd sooner or later.
