Installation aborted... i extracted it and compressed again to zip ...any mistake?

My adb and fastboot aren't working :( can't install on linux there are many methods explained but can't get one of it...!! anyhow can u create flashable one?

Then I think u haven't followed steps properly..if u don't hv any problem then use my tutorial to get adb working..(i don't intend to promote my thread here,i just want to help)

n for fastboot just put following in 99-android.rules file.

#ADB on Micromax A70
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", SYSFS{idVendor}=="1d91", MODE="0666"
#fastboot on Micromax A70
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", SYSFS{idVendor}=="18d1", MODE="0666"

Then follow remaining steps n I assure u can get both ADB n fastboot working on ur newly installed linux system.
If any problem then report to original thread,i will get it work.
I have working adb n fastboot on my linux since november 2011...:)
 
Zip got flashed without any issue..
on reboot, stuck at mmx bootlogo.
on adb logcat, -waiting for device-
tried 5-6 times..removed battery,waited 2-3 mins,restarted again but same,stuck at logo n adb logcat or ddms doesn't show anything...waiting for device.

EDIT:
after that i booted into recovery n thought to take a backup of flashed rom as someone atated before,may be ninad..then restored my previous backup.leandros backup showed all partitions yaffs2.

Ahh,it will take some time,like abt 10 min cause i will have to boot into linux,i have all development related stuff in linux...no stock kernel in windows now so...
ok,i get back to u in abt 15 min n if we can chat @ irc then it will be better i think.whatever u prefer.
 
I was waiting for ur reply n meanwhile i play around...i extracted boot.img n changed zImage with stock n also added init.d line as it was not there,compiled n flashed new boot.img via fastboot n rom booted but went into bootloops..i took logcat.here i m attaching if it's helpful.
Now working on ur advice.

No luck, stuck at boot logo..tried flashing kernel too..should i try with boot.img thingy?
n ya, no logcat.

EDIT:
I again flashed boot.img but this time i stuck at boot logo but got logcat....attaching.

Ok,restoring backup now...n i think boot.img needs some work to do n 1st logcat may help..it's just guess...u r the boss..
will continue beta testing n debugging as u advise..bye.

But if the system and data are not getting converted to ext2 and u have added the init.rc to boot ext2 system and data ??
how will it work !!
 
I need to verify first.

Currently I have used the second sd partition as /data and added file system check in init.d
Will need to think of something else .
 
i just changed zImage n made boot.img unsecure....n kitchen showed no init.d support so i added that too.nothing else n it booted n also got logcat then.
See the logcats...it may help.

The second logcat is just as I suspected
Data was not detected
I can't read the first logcat on phone properly ,will do that tomorrow .
 
Currently no status . Till I figure ,how to insert busybox in the ramdisk and make the kernel boot ...
