If it doesn't work, still please send me a dmesg so I could look into things.I'll try flashing with CWM, and if that doesn't help, i'm out of options. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication.

Remember that he has the galaxy core lte not the avant which is probably why he is having problems that nobody else is having.First flash the slim rom (or your stock), then try this method again. If it doesn't work do the following below.
Do me a favor and run a dmesg. I'll take a look at it.
I might have a theory... A lot of files from Samsung that might not have been in the slim rom are now here and that could POSSIBLY cause an issue? IDK.... It's strange.
Actually the data you are referring to isn't generated until you boot into android. I almost always wipe both before and after flashing a rom and it has never once caused a problem for me. As long as you don't wipe system after flashing it isn't a problem. After you install you wipe the cache and dalvik, but not data. You're erasing the data that cm11 needs to work.
Actually it shouldn't say"starting apps" or "optimizing apps" or "android is upgrading" at all. When you factory reset and do a clean install the only thing you should see while it is starting up is the boot animation. The fact that you are seeing these messages means that you haven't done a factory reset.
Okay will do.Flash stock and send me ur build.prop
Adb pull is to pull files from your device straight to your pc. Idk how that would help you :/I saw on some other posts to use adb pull or something, maybe that would work? But I don't know how to start that.

"Adb pull /data/media" pulls all files located on your sd card. How will that help with booting up device?
Nevermind. I didn't understand the function. But thanks for explaining"Adb pull /data/media" pulls all files located on your sd card. How will that help with booting up device?

There you go. Oh yea not sure if this is important, but I am using Pimp My Rom. This I don't think will affect it cause I tried installing from a wiped sd.Okay will do.
Okay not that command, but I was looking around and some people were having the issue because of permission errors or something? and that there was an adb command that could fix that. If I am speaking giberish please tell me.Was literally about to type this lol
You were for a few minutes but your back on track nowOkay not that command, but I was looking around and some people were having the issue because of permission errors or something? and that there was an adb command that could fix that. If I am speaking giberish please tell me.

I had tried that after getting the "starting apps", which would result in the boot animation loop.I think TWRP has that. In advanced settings. Its called fix permissions.
Does everyone that have cm11 working on their phones have the same phone as you?I had tried that after getting the "starting apps", which would result in the boot animation loop.
I'm not sure. I have the Canadian model, SM-G386W, Core LTE, they are basically the same phone, just re branded and sold in different regions.Does everyone that have cm11 working on their phones have the same phone as you?

Well aware, but stock slim worked....Remember that he has the galaxy core lte not the avant which is probably why he is having problems that nobody else is having.

Have you gotten any info from the build.prop i sent you?Okay will do.
You should start a new thread so when you get the bugs fixed you can let us know and push updates easier. Plus we could have some where to post bug reports after the obvious major ones are fixed.i just wanted to check the ro.product.device and ro.product.name
I'd argue not yet. I had thought about mentioning the same, but I'm not sure for how early it isYou should start a new thread so when you get the bugs fixed you can let us know and push updates easier. Plus we could have some where to post bug reports after the obvious major ones are fixed.
