Let's see your "Incredible" layout (Pun intended)

Thaks man, uhm, im not sure how mclock was setup in regards to the alignment since it was a xml I got, but I set the minimalistics' alignment to the bottom and it just sat right on it lol.

Usually, some widgets will let you align your clock/whatever up/dwn/left/right
and that's what gets them close. along with if you're in launcher pro you can resize them which helps as well sometimes. That one I was on just sense so I got lucky there lol.

It's bound to happen, especially with most of us in here enjoying simple, minimial themes. For instance the wallpaper in the lockscreen posted by HankStorm was already used by me a few pages back

In all seriousness, though, usually if you borrow something (dock, wall, icons, etc) or use someones idea it's nice to mention their name or give them a "thanks for the inspiration." We're all here to help each other make our device look as good as it can and to get fresh ideas. Basically, this thread has become Jbdan, Supra and I throwing layouts back and forth as no one else really contributes. It'll be nice to see some of the newer users in here start posting their screens

I totally forgot you had posted that one here. I came across it when flipping through Zedge (or was it Backgrounds?) over the weekend. There have been so many different things posted here it's hard to remember who posted what.

I don't know why- but I feel a little offended by this.

Apparently, other members don't qualify as "contributors" if they don't post changes in their wallpapers or widgets on a daily basis...?

I have been subscribed to this thread, as well as most other "post your homescreen" threads for about a year, and have not found any really "fresh ideas" that inspire me to change my layout.

Occasionally, I do come up with ideas for new layouts, create, and post them just to show others what can be done with these extremely versatile devices. For instance... after several trials, this is nearing completion:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Does this get me back into the "contributors" club?

P.S.: Does it count as a "contribution" if people post things that I create...
like the Beautiful Widgets skin used in the post above?

Didn't mean to offend anyone, that wasn't the intention what-so-ever. I just meant that this thread used to be full of a number of people posting their screens and as of recently it's seems like it's declined a lot. Sorry you took offense to it, again it wasn't my intention. I don't want to see this thread start declining like the "unofficial incredible wallpaper" thread has that's all.

I totally forgot you had posted that one here. I came across it when flipping through Zedge (or was it Backgrounds?) over the weekend. There have been so many different things posted here it's hard to remember who posted what.

It's totally ok, no worries. I was basically using it as a point that no matter what, someone, somewhere at one time or another has probably used something in a layout you're currently using. It's bound to happen and it's not a big deal

Good to see you got that clock skin franchise! Looking good.

IMO, do whatever you want for the layouts. Copy an exact one if u really like it. It's great just to see people posting up whatever they come up with, whether it be by inspiration, just themselves or just recreating someones setup, and that doesn't happen tooo much now days lol which is why I keep making new things too, hoping that more people will want to post stuff as well, and like worm said hoping this doesn't go down like that wallpaper thread. I love making new layouts whenever I'm just sitting around.

I've gotten a bunch of ideas from jbdan, who is always more than helpful to post his stuff he finds n makes for anyone to use if they ask, and same with worm.

But ya, really just make somethin u like. Use someone elses icons, paper, widget? Great!, if it's something someone posted up for u that ur usin, just throw a shoutout. I do it all the time lol.

It's been 8 months since I got this phone and first posted in this thread. Wanted to share my latest.

LauncherPro Plus, 7 screens. Have not messed with the lockscreen. Yet. I ripped the large skull graphic from some Harley D ad, then 'shopped them (256x256 PNGs) to correspond with folders existing/created in Folder Organizer Lite (Free) (Folder Organizer lite - Android Application on the Android market). Then, using Desktop VisualizeR (Free) (Download Desktop VisualizeR for your Android phone on AppBrain), I placed these folders throughout the screens, eliminating the use of tiny icons or the app drawer. Folder Organizer now notifies you whenever you download a new app and opens right to where you can tag the app for any of your folders.

Home screen.

Wallpaper: From the cover of Brian Lumley's "Deadspeak", grayscaled and cut in half.

Battery Indicator (Free): Battery Indicator - Android Application on the Android market

AozoraClock (Free): AozoraClock - Android app on AppBrain - Let's you use any .TTF font! Date and Day of the Week can also be displayed.

Calendr (Free) - Calendr - Android Application on the Android market - displays the very next event scheduled in my calendar, links to calendar.

Skull = Starred Apps in Folder Organizer Lite. Each app here was starred in the apps list in Folder Organizer. Pressing this starred skull displays all apps I access most often.

Toggles = SwitchPro Widget ($0.99) - SwitchPro Widget - Android Application on the Android market - currently set to eliminate the lockscreen, which was great until I realized that my calendar reminders would not appear fullscreen on the lockscreen. D'oh!

Screen 1 (far left).

Wallpaper: Hi-res shot of Summer Glau a.k.a. the Terminator from The Sarah Connor Chronicles. No, I can't let go. :D

Top Skull: New Apps folder, newest apps downloaded and yet to be judged and summarily executed. Featured app in this folder: MotionFart (Free) - Motion Fart - Android app on AppBrain - the fart sounds aren't nearly as genuine as the whoopie cushion's, but it's still fun to lift a leg and squeeze one out in your mom's face!

Bottom Skull: Internet Apps folder. Featured app in this folder: Phone2Chrome (Free) - Phone 2 Chrome - Android Application on the Android market - a much more logical direction for links to move between phone and PC IMO.

Owner Info (Free), from Factory-H - Displays my contact info (and my ugly mug thanks to Desktop Visualizer). Available from the Market. As is Contact Owner (Free) I see now - Download Contact Owner for your Android phone on AppBrain - which I will be using immediately after I finish this thing here. It shows your info on the lockscreen! Oh, wait...

Screen 2.

Wallpaper: From the cover of Brian Lumley's "The Last Aerie". If you people haven't read all the Necroscope books, you are seriously missing out!

Top Skull: Android Apps folder. Apps dealing mostly with the operation of the phone. Featured app in this folder: Fast Call (Free) - Fast Call - Android app on AppBrain - This app eliminates the need to fling through your massive contact list by displaying a linked alphabet. All phone/text operations are available via this app.

Bottom Skull: Tools folder. Featured app in this folder: How To Tie a Tie (Free) - Download How to Tie a Tie for your Android phone on AppBrain - Who knew there were a bunch of different ways to tie a tie?! This app shows full illustrations on how to tie 13 different knots, including the Bow Tie.

Old Books Icon: This icon, also a Destop Visualizer widget, currently points to the Aldiko Book Reader (Free) - Aldiko Book Reader - Android Application on the Android market - Currenly on my shelf? The Dexter books. I have also used this widget to point to Laputa Book Reader (Free) - Download Laputa Reader(+ Free eBooks) for your Android phone on AppBrain and Amazon's Kindle (Free) - Kindle - Android Application on the Android market.

Screen 3.

Wallpaper: The sexy, fanged Selene from "Underworld". Bite me, Kate!

Top Skull: Social Apps folder. Featured app in this folder: Plume for Twitter (Free) - Plume for Twitter - Android Application on the Android market. I have two Twitter accounts, but I don't really follow anyone of importance, nor does anyone follow me. Why would they, I don't use the thing. But if/when I do, Plume looks pretty cool. @xohmyheadx

Bottom Skull: Games folder: I see now that my Angry Bird skull needs a little touch-up. D'oh! Featured app in this folder: Air Horn - Download Air Horn! for your Android phone on AppBrain - This air horn has 13 different horns plus a video feature! Start recording the video, the air horn button is right on the screen. Sneak up on a sleeping friend and blast 'em! If your friend soils himself, send that video to Tosh.0. :D

Screen 5.

Wallpaper: I'll give you a minute... Nice, eh? No idea who she is, but she should win some sort of a prize.

Top Skull: Camera Apps folder. Featured app in this folder: PhotoFunia (Free) - PhotoFunia - Android app on AppBrain - By FAR the most fun camera app on my phone, it has tons of scenes to insert a photo into. They turn out very well. You can even tattoo your buddy's face on a shirtless David Beckham. :D

Bottom Skull: Multimedia Apps folder. Ringtone stuff, paint apps, sound boards, etc. Featured app in this folder: SoundHound (Free) - SoundHound - Android Application on the Android market - Like Shazam, this app listens to a song and tells you who and what it is. UNlinke Shazam, it has unlimited music discovery!

device6.jpg

Screen 6.

Wallpaper: The Cross of Confusion.

Top Skull: Tech Apps folder. Featured app in this folder: Engadget - Download Engadget for your Android phone on AppBrain - gadgets and technology news.

Bottom Skull: Customization Apps folder. Featured app in this folder: AozoraClock - See link above - No longer are we at the mercy of the skinners. Find your own favorite font, drop it in a designated folder on your phone, and whammo! Your clock rules.

device7.jpg

Screen 7 (far right).

Wallpaper: Summer Glau again. If only there were two of them. One for TV and one for me!

Widget: LauncherPro's People widget.

You may have noticed I have different wallpaper for each screen. Eureka! The app for making this happen is Multipicture Live Wallpaper (Free) - MultiPicture Live Wallpaper - Android Application on the Android market - I may have finally found a wallpaper app I can stick with.

That's all, folks! PM me if you want the skulls. Or wallpaper. Or whatevuh. *salute*

I know what you mean. This thread turned me on to a lot of new things when I first started out with Android. It was this very thread that inspired me to create my Android Phone 7 theme.

This thread won't die until the last Incredible on earth stops working. The phone is too awesome and this is a great melting pot of ideas.

I, too, wish that more people would share their layouts. It will be better if the Incredible is updated to 2.2 without root. With an easier way of taking screenshots, I'm sure people will post their homescreens like crazy! (Unfortunately, who knows if Verizon will ever configure the update for the Incredible- even though it's their most popular phone. They're probably spending all of their time selling stupid iPhones now.)

Can someone explain how to do the date/clock where the time and date are on top and the day of the week is below and they are separated by a line? I think that looks so good but I can't figure it out with the software.

Been following this thread since around September, taken ideas from so many posts and changed my layout to many times to count. Recently, I change stuff and then go right back to this layout, very simple, similar to some that have been posted, but here it is.

One screen
Simi Clock Widget
Launcherpro +
Smplicons

Lockscreen is the same layout but with a slider obviously, no need to post it.

There are a few apps out there that can do it. I use Make Your Clock Widget. I used it for both my lockscreen and home screen clocks above.

Great layouts all thanks for the inspirations!

I've been playing off the OneMoreClock honeycomb clock look as I'm really digging the modern feel to it. I made some icons in GIMP along the same lines (well I tried) and found an SDK dump of some HComb icons on XDA. I'm using the "apps" one tweaked out some.

I'm also playing with WL love all the custom skins

CM and WL for lock
OneMoreClock
Minimal text widget
Greybread theme
Lock paper from "Backgrounds" app and home paper from HComb sdk dump. (found here thanks mothy!)

VERY nice Dan! I like what you did with the icons, esp the app drawer.

Off topic, how has your battery been doing on RC1? I just switched back to IR because I was having some small issues (WiFi would dump out frequently, set to never sleep too, weird) but I got 49 hours up before I flashed my backup! That's the best life I've ever gotten from CM7 and on par with my best from IR. Also, on CM is there a way to check your awake time? I couldn't find it to save my life!

Thank you kind sir ;)

Battery on CM-RC1 is not as good as IR, but then nothing is really hehe. I do easily get a full day so it's doable. IR nets me 2 full days.

RC1 for me has been great I think I've had 1 force close in the last 2 weeks. I have not had a chance to do any more flashing as of late, but I am looking forward to changing things up with IR again soon.

GB doesn't list awake time like Sense ROM's do. What I do is just add up all the minutes/hours for each thing that uses battery. aka like Display used 95 minutes, Voice Calls used 37 minutes, etc...which gives you a guestimate on awake time.

I've never had Wifi drop on me, but there are many who do have issues with CM. I guess I'm either lucky or it's my OCD about Titanium restores. I stopped using it and I've been golden since. It's a PITA to go back to market and re-dnld apps hence me not flashing much lately lol. I'll use it again I'm sure I've just avoided it lately.

I'm the same when restoring, I don't use Titanium either. I use App Brain to sync and then install one by one. Other than that killer battery life I'm actually kind of disappointed with RC1! I had ZERO problems when I ran nightly #32 (I believe) and really enjoyed it alot. Now between the WiFI issue plus numerous force closes, LP FCing after every boot and a few app freeze ups resulting in a battery pull I'm kinda bummed. I think I may wait 'till a RC2 comes out, or just flash a nightly and hope for good results like I previously had

Yeah 49 hours is insane! So weird so many people have issues with RC1 yet there are a few including me who have none at all. I always read the nightly thread and it seems as though the majority have issue with either this or that. I've read about the LP FC after every reboot issue what a pain.

FWIW I flashed RC1 over #39 with a cache partition and dalvik wipe then flashed bleks modded .37 kernel after another dalvik wipe. It's been so good to me. I also go to my SD card and delete every piece of crud that programs self-install. I clean my SD card for every flash just in case there is something that doesn't want to play nice.

I read the nightlies as well and notice it's very rare for someone to have no issues like you currently have going! You lucky SOB haha. Hopefully I'll have good results with the next nightly I flash. I have to say, though, everytime I boot my backup of IR I fall in love with it all over again. It really is a great ROM. If only the MMS issue and the crazy, demonic, ringer could get fixed I would officially call it a perfect build. Still hope he ports the gingerbread screen off animation too! Idk if you've been following the xda thread, but I asked him to hit up Incubus because he ported it to his Warm Z. I really hope he can figure it out. There's something about it that I think is wicked cool lol
