Let's see your "Incredible" layout (Pun intended)

Has anyone been able to get SMS Unread count on the widget locker home screen? Same goes for GMail.

I have tried putting icons on the lock screen (interactions disabled), with desktop visualizer to show no icon, but with hopes to see unread count. I have not had success. Is this possible?

Hope with this is to not always have to unlock phone to see what is up. Thanks!

Try updating your WidgetLocker (2.0 just came out) and downloading ADWNotifier - Free App, which is supposed to show all three (phone, sms, gmail) notifications in one space on the WidgetLocker lockscreen using a slider or button between sliders.

EDIT: I just tried this ADWNotifier thing with WidgetLocker and it doesn't work. According to Kevin, it's supposed to work without the need to run ADW as a launcher. It still doesn't do anything, though.

Okay, I just tried it with SMS Unread Count - Free App and it works fine.

Alright I hope this works. But I think my lockscreen is a bit dull... working on figuring out how to change it.

I dig the minimalistic looks that have been coming up recently. I have copied a bit from a few people on this forum.

zac it looks great and you got the pics to show! I like the lockscreen, but then again I'm a somewhat dull person at times :p

What skin is that for Beautiful Widgets, and what icons?

Jbdan is correct- the Beautiful Widgets home and weather skins are "Debossed" and the SMS and Gmail icons are SMS Unread Count - Free App. The debossed icons for this widget are available for download at the thread linked below.

It is either debossed or flat carved skin for BW. The icons are unlock/app open sliders for WidgetLocker. Hope you don't mind me answering paulmz :-)

Jbdan- no problem. Thanks for answering. But don't forget to give me some props for creating the "Debossed" skins.

More info, widgets, and icons with the "Debossed" look are here: Debossed Theme - Icons and Widgets.

My bad I didn't mention that, it slipped my mind. And as the creator of these skins, I'll reiterate that they are very well done and extremely popular!

Thanks for that link dan, using one of the wallpapers from it.

Paul, thanks for your help. I have SMS Unread Count and got it to work, but I am unable to change the icons. I followed the directory to \data\com.kanokgems.smswidget on the SD card, but can't seem to find the folder. Is there another location? (using astro file manager)

Thanks again.

The "com.kanokgems.smswidget" is the folder. Just put the .png files in there.

On a side note, I did finally get the ADWNotifier to work. I [stupidly] was placing the actual application in the widget instead of using the WidgetLocker Action of "Dialer" or "SMS Inbox" for the slider or the spot between the slider. It worked at that point fairly well except that (at least the way I have my grid set up) the notification bubbles are kind of small. Also, as much as ADWNotifier works with Gmail, WidgetLocker doesn't have it as an action so that notifier doesn't work (yet).

I'm sure Kevin's on it.

Sorry, wasn't specific there. I couldn't find the actual folder to place the icon file.

I assume you followed these instructions from my Debossed Theme thread:

"If you don't have one already, just make a folder on your SD card under "data" called "com.kanokgems.smswidget" and stick the .png's in there."

As it says... "if you don't have one... make a folder". If you aren't doing this while the device is attached to a computer you can use Astro. Just navigate to your "data" folder on your SD memory, press [Menu]-> [New]-> [Directory]. Enter the name: com.kanokgems.smswidget and copy the images into that directory.

Hope this helps!

I really like what you've done here. I am curious how you set mClock up to look like that, I cannot figure it out for the life of me. Any help would be much appreciated.

The yellow is so cool!! wait a minute I know that chick :D

Nicely done Mike

How is rc1 and blek's kernel treatin ya?

It's doing good so far, but I haven't done an acurate battery test because I have my small battery in (1300) but I'm going to switch to my 1800 today and give it a real test. I was running IR for so long that I forgot what a difference aosp is. One thing I do like (which I always forgot about until I'm running it) is how EASY it is to theme CM7! I did notice more force closes then when I previously ran nightlies, mainly after a boot, but nothing serious enough to stop running.

Great success, thanks!

probably stupid, but do I need a launcher program to do this? I just got beautiful widgets but I can't seem to apply anything

Most of us are using Launcher Pro for the custom docks, I believe Supra is using a custom Rosie (stock sense) in his latest setup. If you see something that doesn't look like sense, it's probably an alternate launcher like LP or ADW

Thank you, I'll check it out. Still messing around with beautiful widgets, so many options it is actually overwhelming (which is a good thing once I know what I'm doing).
