Ohhh dan, that is beast!

Same to you worm, I was rockin the orange for a few hours when I was testing it and it's pretty sick. I need to stop being lazy and make something new lol.
Been so happy with mine buuuttt, I also wana change it at the same time.

I'll post one tomorrow or something, gonna test/ss some more mods with chingy right now first.
 
I've been following these posts for a while now, and I have finally been convinced to root my phone. I have a few questions though for those of you who are experienced with Incredibly Re-Engineered.

How do you switch color themes without losing your data?

When you have a rooted phone, what is being backed up when you do a Nandroid Backup?

If I do a Nandroid Backup, Titanium Backup for Apps and System, reflash the ROM, pick a new color theme, and then restore from both, would it ONLY change the theme?

Is there a faster way?

And one more thing, I flashed the mod to remove the branding from the Notifications, which worked, but when I flashed the Blue Theme, it came back. Is there a way to remove it again?

I realized you can just reflash themes over other color themes. I also found out you have to just redo the "remove-branding" from MetaMorph, and you also have to remove HTC Sense again if you go "Senseless".

But how do you remove a color theme to revert back to default then?

Thanks! Could you explain what goes in the Cache Partition when you wipe it?

And what if you want to make the theme default? I have read somewhere that you can just reflash the ROM for the default without wiping anything, but then why do we need to wipe the original out-of-the-box "OS" before flashing a ROM? Could you reflash a ROM while running the same ROM without losing data or risking something going wrong?
 
Hey guys, been running through these posts lately - great job all around. Really like what I have been seeing and the ideas from it all. Especially to you more frequent changers.

I had a question regarding hidden icons using desktop visualizer. I remember reading through a couple posts, but could not seem to track them down before. What are you guys using as an icon for transparent or unseen icons? Is there an actual icon or a manner to set it up through desktop visualizer (or by another means)?

No offense, but this is not the place for a conversation like this, or the questions you asked above. This is a "show your homescreen" thread. I'm sure if you searched here or xda or even google you'd have no poroblem finding the answers you're looking for.

You do have to use a picture that is just "transparent"
I'll attach one, lemme know if it works for you!

It's a stock wallpaper on IR 2.3. There's 5 or 6 different color themes and it comes in each color.

There's a detailed tutorial in this thread about the widget locker mod, search button is all you need

I'm familiar with the search function. Idk if you saw but there's 54 pages and 2600+ posts that's why I asked, to see if anyone had a link on hand, not to search FOR me. Regardless, I found it on XDA.
 
So I tried out CM7, It deff was pretty cool but I'd rather stick with chingys 2.3

The app that groups all ur widgets together in the menu was pretty cool, and bunch of the other things, Screen ani, all the modding u can do in the settings, the neon bars that come up when u hit bottom or top of menus, lots of other stuff. But I also don't see it much better at all than 2.3 imo. I guess it's cause I just like sense better, and how devoted chingy is to his rom.. It is pretty sick though, Give those CM guys a lottt of props for how far they've come. What do you guys do about wireless tether, and the hacked hotspot? just bring over wireless tether?

Anyways, Back on 2.3.1 and Helping Get things up to par for the new CM 3.0+ as im on that now.
We fixed a bunch of mods today and got them on, so most of the mods are ready, lil more to go, Like the Diff opacity%'s the 0 works but gotta have him do the others lol. I have em fixed myself but the zips are all mislabeled lol. Had him make me the Ginger batt in Cyan real quick a few minutes ago, Love it.

So many great mods chingys done now that I'm actually able to create some cool regular sense layouts I guess u'd call it? lol.
Still love LP+ though, and will make layouts in it. Just nice to switch between them now :)
 
Just changed my layout after flashing CM7.

I use Launcher Pro Plus. The clock was made using Make Your Clock Widget. The icons here are actually folders using Apps Organizer.

modifying that unlock screen would pull it all together :)

The built in hotspot with CM7 works great.

I agree change is always good I loved running UberRom for quite sometime no LP or ADW just stock sense. Then I get a vanilla kick. Then back. A vicious cycle!

Digging that setup especially your custom made cyan GB battery with % awesome he made that!

Which lock are you using with that still using WL? or 1 of the custom sense slide downers?

Ohh ok, I must have completely missed the hotspot on CM lololol.
I'll have to flash my nand and check everything out well again.

I've been meaning to change back to WL but I've been gone a lot recently, and I keep forgetting to grab my WL mods so I can ninjamorph it again. I should just keep the apk backed up so I can just pop it back on when I flash something lol.

I'll do that tmrw and post up a shot of what I come up with
