how do you get the notification to show up??? I am using Launcher Pro and Desktop Vis. to get this done

download the file in the thread for 2.2, then boot into recovery either by A) using an app called quickboot or B) power off phone, then hold the volume down button and press power until you see a white screen with Android dudes at the bottom, then select recovery. then select flash from sd card and then select the file you just downloaded. might wanna do a cache and dalvik-cache wipe.
also, always do a nand backup just in case something goes horribly wrong

These are all terms related to flashing custom ROMs to a rooted phone. If you have not rooted your phone then you cannot get the look you were asking about from your other post.
If you want to root your phone I would suggest you carefully read the guides posted in this thread: http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ated-21-15-bst-aug-31-2010-a.html#post1491925
Once you have a full understanding of the root process and root your phone then you will be able to do the things you are asking about and more.

pretty sure his phone is rooted. says he's rooted in his sig anyway
it's basically how the OS is cached. you wipe them through recovery. do the steps i said above and you'll see it. same with nand backup. boot into your recovery and poke around a bit.

oh it's cool dude, no worries. sometimes the forums display sigs, and other times it doesn't. not exactly sure what's up with that, but that's another topic.

This is tight too, real clean and crisp without being too simple. i like how you think of all the homescreens as one cohesive piece of artwork, fresh approach./ While your at it if you wanna include these resources i wouldnt be mad.
Currently using miui rom so no more launcher pro but im looking into modding the stock launcher, it works great but looks childish. So maybe i can work your style into it

Long way to go, not good at making anything like this but I'll work on it.
Used the dock background I found on here a few pages ago and changed it a little. I'd like to make some nice icons but I wouldn't know how to begin as all I know how to do in photoshop is crop, resize and sharpen images

dude this looks great!At last, after working on it for about a month, 60 pages of of this thread and about 8 hrs of beating my head against photoshop (never used it before) I finally have a setup I'm happy with
