Oh well, but frankly tmo is coming up strong with their new plans and developments specially for future goal network spectrum.

Do you think they will merge and it will be allowed? Hope not

yeah, quite possible. T-Mobile merger with Sprint inches closer with parent companies agreeing on a sale

Hope so, actually.

Sprint isn't just Sprint anymore, it's Softbank and they have great service policies in Japan - which they promised to bring here. Merging another set of LTE bands will let them.

CDMA is far superior to GSM for voice quality (and privacy), but the days for both are limited. It won't be soon, but they're going.

Suuureee, you want your evil Sprint to swallow my beloved baby, T-Mo..:D

Yeah. I just want VoLTE already, and advanced LTE everything LTE ;)

And you need two things for that - phones being fielded with multiple LTE frequencies (for Advanced) and multiple bands or you'll get no roaming on LTE. The Sprint models are already going there with multiple frequencies, LTE 800/1900/2500 for the new Spark network.

No network has 100% coverage of everything for the US, and bandwidth has become a football with pay TV companies getting in on the act (it's already worse than internet domain squatting).

A merger might well break that free.

:dontknow:

Perhaps. Let's see what will happen..

Clearly you missed the memo.

The Elders of the Internet convened a special council and The Great Elder twospirits determined that Sprint + Softbank = Spank.

It's all about the great Spanking. You want the Spank, being on T-Mobile you need the Spank, and you're going to get the Spank just like the rest of us. :D

Actually let them go ahead.

2 years ago AT&T tried to acquire T-Mo, government said no, T-Mo walked with the cool $4Bln in their pocket, invested in the network to became what it is now.

Funny, Germans and Japanese trying to make a new US telecom company :D

Being with Sprint for 15 years, I certainly know what the good Spank is :D

I loved them when they had Sprint PCS. Made about $40k playing with the stock. It was probably the most volatile stock in history. But then they killed it.

I am away from my keyboard and I'm just trying to catch up. Are you guys saying that Verizon is only getting the 2gb version?

rushmore,

Tell us again about evil Verizon being 2/16 only, will you?:D

I need Elton's Circle of Life playing in the background........... Okay, Verizon is on the top of the food chain and they want all of our money in their belly. Word.

Simply put, more money in their belly if they choose to only sell one. Hopefully they want even more money in their belly by selling both :)

Oh.. So we still know nothing. OK Ty.

Well what we know is that we don't know what it would be, which mean that we know that we don't know it'll bring 2g or not. Thus, there is a possibility for 3gb version to come thanks for us not knowing nothing yet. :)

Just business economics postulation that IF a carrier only chooses to sell one model, they would sell more of the 2/16 due to price.

Are you insane?

Do not enable him.

There's easily about eight of us up in here posting our fingers to the bone, and I'm talking workers compensation levels here, and he blows in, no time for reading but plenty of time to be healthy, and just wants the answer served on a plate.

I'd ask what sort of prerelease thread he was expecting but I already know the answer - pickles. (I never said that the truth would make sense.)

The question is not, do we know the truth.

We do.

The only question is in believing it.

TL/DR

The correct answer was amazing.

Yes, but can he handle the truth? :D

The key to the truth is solving for the dot product in the matrix. A little linear algebra humor :)

Added: People that can do that scare me.

No, that's not all, did you miss it?

According to a usually reliable source with an excellent track record, only Sprint will sell both models. The 2/16 will be offered as the gold vanity model to provide street cred because Sprint is releasing the 2/16 on Boost and Virgin Mobile.

That's the entire reason for the 2/16 being built in the first place - no contract carriers.

Everyone else is getting the 3/32.

I see your reasoning. But hey, he still doesn't know anything(we don't know for certain) so he's bound to search of answers. It's tough to disregard the lack of knowledge of one's own self, specially for something someone is interested.

...lol, After just typing my reaction are; ahhh, what gives.
