LG G3 Pre-release/Rumor/Speculation Thread

No, that's not all, did you miss it?

According to a usually reliable source with an excellent track record, only Sprint will sell both models. The 2/16 will be offered as the gold vanity model to provide street cred because Sprint is releasing the 2/16 on Boost and Virgin Mobile.

That's the entire reason for the 2/16 being built in the first place - no contract carriers.

Everyone else is getting the 3/32.

Don't mess with the matrix! :)

Look again. ;)

Ok. Look a third time. :D

Never!

I still believe we could get a surprise in the sale release. Is it doubtful? Highly, possible? Yes.

As to being certain... Well I guess we could be sure of it but until it gets into our hands, a small room of speculation would still linger.

I can tell that you decided to skip reading my post a 3rd time.

Very well, I won't argue with you.

If you missed it, you missed it.

Okay. I saw it again :p, and this time I took it serious rather than sarcastic. I'm not actually arguing with you but agreeing (in a odd way).

I love to make people express themselves regardless of who's right or what they stand for :).

Btw I'm not trolling, just in case lol.

Very cool. Using it for the first time ever to type this post on my rooted G2. Will let you guys know how it compares.

I shoulda posted the original source/link,my mistake.

MANY THANX to XDA Member/Developer Cloudyfa for his efforts:

[MOD][PORT] LG G3 Keyboard - xda-developers

I'm sure the members in the G2 forum would like to try this out.
Wasn't sure if it should be posted in the general section,or,All Things Root.

I'll leave that to you to decide/share,if you will please.:)

Satire. Not sarcasm, not serious, satire.

Only the part about no contact carriers (a separate post) was serious.

In the car. My son has just taken over driving for me. On our way to fil's funeral tomorrow. Ww2 vet. Military funeral.

No JUMP for me either, sweet 7 Franklins + tax that's what G3 will cost me.

Good thing that I command finances in the house and missus will never know what happened :D

Now, T-Mo guys, how exactly JUMP works? I have F6 and Z Ultra, which I did not buy from T-Mo. What can I expect as a trade-in value, if anything? $700+tax is kind of painful to part with right away :D
Not that I can't, I don't want to :)

Thanks in advance.

If you have the new jump service you have to have payed half of the phones installment to then upgrade to a new phone, and all the remaining cost will be payed by tmo. Then when you trade you start from scratch, or you are welcome to chip in down-payments or any amount to help reduce the amount of month needed to pay it off.

If you are grandfathered with the old jump service you can just jump anytime you want without having to wait until you payed 50% of the balance. Also when you jump all the remaining due balance will be payed by tmo, then you start a new payment plan from zero.

You'd probably feel a lot better by Giving the phones away. ;) :)

Seriously, they're only giving $120 for the FLEX,so,don't expect much of a difference for the Z Ultra & next to nothing for the F6.
The above is for trade-in,not JUMP.Two totally different animals, but, the value (of the trade-in) is applied to the purchase of the new device.

In other words, you can't get JUMP value (balance on financed handset) on a non-JUMP phone.
Example:

LG G-FLEX non JUMP:

Trade-in value:$120
Apply towards purchase/down payment

LG G-FLEX bought on JUMP & JUMPING to the G3:

1) Outstanding balance is $0 w/trade-in of G-FLEX
2) Down payment (if applicable) towards G3
3) Monthly payments begin 1-2 billing cycles after getting new device.
4) Lather,rinse,repeat

There's some language regarding 6 months blah,blah,blah...... as long as you're willing to ensure the 50% threshold is met,you can JUMP as frequently as you wish. (In-store this is true, done it myself.On-line,YMMV)

With the grandfathered jump is not necessary meeting the 50% balance. Assuming he has the old jump.....

Thanks.

I just called them and they told me I don't have JUMP. In a way I am glad I don't. Don't wanna be a slave to anybody.

So..Z Ultra and F6 are being ebayed to whatever someone is willing to pay, and 7 Franklins + tax are assigned to the G3, plus Quick Circle case, plus wireless charger..Good thing missus will never know about this :D

True, didn't have to meet that requirement on my 1st 2 JUMPS,may have to from here on out.
Unless, the early adopters stayed enrolled & are grandfathered on all future JUMPS.
I'll find out soon enough. :D

Thanks.

Just for KIX,here's the links for Trade-In & JUMP:

Cell Phone Trade-In | Trade in your old device for credit toward your bill | T-Mobile

Phone Upgrade Anytime | Just Upgrade My Phone | JUMP! | T-Mobile

Soo one more time... You are indeed getting the gorgeous lg g3? Am I close enough?
Perhaps but only if HTC really bonks their next phone.

EM is getting the G3 Prime three months later ;)

Also possible. :) :D

In any case, I'll wait for the best deal.

With a sale and a trade in, I got the phone I'm using now for $50 on launch day. My wife got the same one for $0 six months later.

I'm happy with it. I pay the same on Sprint as I would on T-Mobile and I can get my next phone subsidized without any increase in my monthly payments.

By sticking with my contract, I can buy an LG G2 for $1 (yes, one dollar) right now today, or the M8 for $200 (not on sale today), not counting any trade-in. And no grandfathering concerns.

I applaud everyone enjoying rapid phone changes here. It's fun and it keeps it interesting, no doubt.

I'm still happy with my existing phone. It's still fun. I still do most everything with it (including verifying things at work and managing multiple Exchange calendars - it's far better than Outlook at that).

I can afford to wait for the best deal for me. I plan on saying two years later that my now-new phone is still 100% satisfying and fun.

And I plan to be a complete cheapskate about it. :D

I've wanted a reason to switch to T-Mobile, and I'd be willing to pay the entrance fee of the phone. But - so far, I have no financial or service incentives to do it.

Front facing cameras - as far as I'm concerned, everyone is doing it wrong because the dot resolution is far too high.

Who's planning on using the G3 ffc and what do you use your existing ffc for?
