Not sure why none of you thought of this before.....
The LG Viper and LG Connect are more similar than the Connect and Lucid. Why I am saying this is because the Internal Storage size on the Connect and Viper are the same.
LG Lucid (VS840)
LG Viper (LS840)
LG Connect (MS840)
Differences:
Screen
Lucid: IPS LCD
Connect: LCD
Viper: TFT
Internal Memory
Lucid: 8GB
Connect: 2GB
Viper: 2GB
LG Lucid vs LG Connect 4G vs LG Viper 4G LTE - Phone specs comparison
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure you could easily use the source kernels from the Viper/Lucid to get yourselves a good ICS kernel.
I don't see ICS source for the Lucid on the LG's page (yet), but I do see ICS source for the Viper on LG's site: opensource.lge.com
Select Mobile then type LS840 and get yourself some ICS kernel source.
I'm not sure why all of you are wanting to port when a phone very similar to it already has some source that you guys need and could use.
