Root Liberty 1.5 possessed?

Thread lock as per OP's request.

Update: Upon reflection of the thread and the questions that some member posted after the OP's last post. It was decided that the thread still has some life in it in a theoretical sense and should not be closed. I have edited the ECF's OP post to contain the dev's comment. Sorry if this might have caused any confusions. If you can continue the discussion and answer ciderax and Bankswood's posts to get the thread rolling again :)

fair enough. I just didnt want this to turn into a blood bath thread for a dev who does great work and made a mistake (even though there are still some questions about the file being there to begin with)

In liberty settings there's a check box to automatically get updates, I assume that's what happened.

from my understanding, this file that looks for apps to download from the server CAN NOT be turned off currently but he did say in one of his posts that he will make it able to be turned off in the next update and will probably remove the entire file in itself as he sees no more use for it because so many people know libertys work now.

the box for automatic updates in liberty settings is was/is something different

again, this is just from my understanding from all of his explanations in different posts

Or what? He'll be on The List?
well, though obviously not written in stone;
my guess would be that he would lose credibility (which he already has with some), therefore losing anyone using his work, donations, and the purchase of his apps....for starters....
just a shot in the dark.

ill get it locked

"HEY, I'M NOT WEARING ANY PANTIES!!!!!!!":D:eek:

(see if that does it....lol....)

If you guys really want this thread to go away, then just stop posting in it, it will get lost eventually, just saying.

Exactly how the community works IMHO
