Root Liquid 3.0 Final Link Up

Huh, really? It seems foolish to think that it's because I didn't do a full wipe, but I guess anything's possible. Maybe I'll try a full wipe later tonight. I think it was Spring the last time I did one anyways

Finally got around to flashing this last night. Thanks to yeahha for flashing this to answer a question for me yesterday on Twitter.

My question to anyone using the MIUI battery bar, are you experiencing status bar ghosting? For those who aren't familiar with ghosting an example would be open your notifications and after closing it you can still see a slight hint of the full notification date on the status bar. I'm having a lot that, and not just with notifications. Every icon that moves or changes in my status bar ghosts for 25-30 seconds afterwards.

Also, I flashed 3.0 final over my backup of 3.0 and I got status bar FC's everywhere. Tried numerous time, still the same. Before doing a full wipe I decided to flash it over my CM7.1.1 backup I had just made. It took a while to boot, but I've had no issues whatsoever. Very strange to say the least

Been using the battery bar and the date fades out no ghosting if it helps I did a wipe before hand coming from cm7.1.

I love the battery bar, and am willing to give up 100% transparency for it (which says a lot as I love 100% trans) but this ghosting is driving me nuts. I guess I'll have to do a full wipe later :smh:

I have center clock but not stock theme. I'm using Luna theme by r3ds. Full wipe won't hurt I guess. More of a pain than anything.

Center clock with my theme I had no issues, just tried the stock theme and had no issues FWIW my theme is built off of the burn ignition theme by DT

Damn, it's gotta be the lack of a full wipe, something is leftover causing issues. I'm rocking center clock and one of my themes. Even when I use the stock theme there is partial ghosting. If I get to doing a full flash tonight I'll post back if it solved the issue

Using center clock and no ghosting... How did I ever live not having center clock is so awesome and tried the battery bar gives nice clean less cluttered status area
Gotta tell you this rom does fly in fact what's weird is when I used imoseyon kernel with cm7 and used extreme it would give me wake up issues but with this rom I can use it with SmartAssV2 and smooth as silk.
Props to bjanow and yeeha for recommending it!
Will we get updates delayed or do we need to donate?

Ok, the issue had to do with a missing xml in my themes. My dude kgill fixed it up for me. A second set of eyes always helps. Loving this ROM again! Just like I did before all that drama unfolded that we won't speak of

Drama? Haha. You ain't seen nothing yet. There are 3 sense roms. Liquid sense, liquid thunder, and liquid vigor. All released today. I have liquid vigor and will play this weekend. We got to figure out what to do. To be continued...

I would def give it another shot. I've not had one FC, although once in a while I do get a "wait" or FC box if I'm going too fast or try to do something right after a reboot without waiting. I can't believe that slayher will do any deving for the TB since he's pretty much off it entirely. He might merge some changes but I don't see anything major at all coming down the pike. His irc chan is dead too, he's been hanging in gnexus.

I'm gonna try flashing Liquid-Vigor at some point when I get itchy. I asked him what was in it (obviously Sense since it's 240MB) and he said to flash it and find out. Liquid 3.0 is running so stable that it's gonna be hard to do that, but I'm getting antsy.

And now for some drama.. I mean why not? It's early right? This guy works his tail off on these roms it seems. I get at least 10 roms (updates and new ones) / week. I don't know any other dev doing both sense and aosp stuff on such a consistent basis. I usually throw him about $5 / week just cause I can. I know this stuff should be free according to the GPL, but technically he's not charging me for it, I just recognize his work and efforts with donations. So after releasing 3.0 he got nada. A few bucks trickle in here and there but nothing that will help him out with rent or food. I wonder if that is the case with all the devs, rom and kernel ones. If so, I'm surprised they even do it and it also might explain why they don't release many. You'd have to have a regular job in this crappy economy to make ends meet.

Ok, that being said, I'm wondering how we can get him to do some customizations for us and bug fixes. And if we all get Galaxys, get him to dev that too. Anyway, just throwing some stuff out there for the board. Flaming is not necessary but always welcome.

Trying to make a living by being a rom dev isn't feasible now if you were to check his tweets that may also explain why he doesn't have a job, sometimes your job may require you to not be stoned.

I don't follow his tweets, why is he loaded all the time? Drinker or pot head? Nonetheless, jobs are hard to come by these days no matter. I'm not sure tweeting your current behavior are all that indicative of how you live your life outside of twitter. And besides, you know that I'm not judgmental at all.

I don't care if someone smokes but I tend to think if you are tweeting pics of pot and tweet to others about smoking then you are going to be the type person who isn't just putting on a front for twitter. Seems to me that people who smoke convince themselves that everyone does and almost become an advocate for it. I've been there and worse so I don't hold it against anyone but if you don't have a job wasting money on that just seems like a bad idea

The Liquid 3 is awesome I know I haven't tried any where near the amount of roms you guys have here but I find this working super smooth and works well with Imo's 4

Plus I am able to use extreme setting in kernel with it when I had other problems doing that with other roms I have tried and I always wipe before any installs
Hmm not sure if I want to go back to sense like the clean install..

Back to Liquid, is there an option for the phone to automatically turn the screen off when in a call? I believe SHIFTAOSP/Sense did that and it was great since now my ear manages to hit end call button unless I remember to manually turn the screen off.

Do you have 'always use proximity sensor' checked?

I've noticed on a few ROM's unless that's checked the screen isn't quite as quick to turn off, if at all, when on a call.

Pot aside, Liquid now has 3 very solid roms out there as of this morning. This 3.0 Liquid, Thundersense (V 2.1 sense) for those that like that (by Liquidzgrl with multiple themes), and Gingersense 2.0 (V 3.0 sense) which I just loaded. It's very nice and a welcome change from aosp for a while. There is another one in beta that I liked called VigorSense but it was version 1 and needed some fixing and tweaks. Anyway, if you're in a flashing mood they're all out on Rootz.
