I've heard some great things about your ROM, I just have one request if its not too hard, to have the Gala S theme that some other people are using, I know its been ported to CM6 and LithiumMod.
Personally that theme suites me so well that I'm having trouble swapping to another ROM, even though I'd much like. (Lithium is a bit sluggish for my taste)
All right, I'm gonna give you something else to try. This (https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B4...I4MmYtMzBhZDA2N2RkYjNh&authkey=CP_B8PYG&hl=en) is an update zip file with the stock android keyboard from the Black N Bold theme by thebowers (it's the one I have installed -- see pic). You can install it as an update zip, just like you did the original 1.41 patch. Make a backup first, try it and let me know if it works for you. Also, let me know if the link doesn't take you to the Google Docs page to download the zip file (this is the first time I've tried linking to a file on Google Docs).
Just saw this. Will try now.
*EDIT*
Same problem. 2 letters in and FC. Bizarre. I'm ready to just chalk this up to "it hasn't been my month."
Restoring my backup and I'll fiddle with it some more later.

Wow. That response was almost as fast as your Rom! Thanks so much.
Heres a screenshot.
Anyone tried this?
Go to Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Scroll down to Android Keyboard > Select "Clear Data"
I installed the htc keyboard, used root explorer to delete the one that cames with liquid 1.4 then flashed the modified watemarkd theme. when i rebooted my droid i had both keyboards working perfectly. if all else has failed it would be worth a try;0
Here is a black bar theme for you
http://android.markjohnston.us/DL/LFY/THEMES/BlackBar.zip
That i just made for you enjoy
In that zip file, there are 2 zip files, one of them is just the icons (batter.zip) in case anyone wanted to add them to any theme of their choice, the other one is the watermarked1.4a theme with them added to it (WatermarkD3.3LFY1.4a.zip). Extract out Watermark.zip file from the original zip (ModWM.zip) and copy it to your SD card and install it just like you would the normal theme.
Using this for inspiration, I've ended up with a working Multitouch keyboard that doesn't screw up the physical one, with 1.41 loaded.
1. Loaded 1.41
2. Removed the stock keyboard by going to the terminal:
su
sysrw
cd /system/app
mv LatinImeGoogle.apk LatinImeGoogle.bak
cd ../lib
mv libjni_latinime.so libjni_latinime.bak
cd /
sysro
sync
exit
exit
3. Flashed the Black Multitouch Keyboard from here
Everything seems to be working.
One oddity I had noticed with the 1.41 before removing the stock keyboard was that if I was typing and the first letter of a word was capitalized, it FCed, but if I launched search - which doesn't capitalize the first letter - I could type as much as I wanted. If I then capitalized a word though, it would FC on the next letter. Very weird.
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and hard work. Not sure why it took this level of work to get it to go, but this is definitely workable for me.
I hate to sound dumb, but will someone please tell me how to run the scripts. Other ROMs I've used had a built-in app for extras and goodies and scripts, but I'm seeing nothing in this one and it's driving me crazy.
tpye su first to gain root - then the stuff on the first post
i wish i could get this to work....install from sdcard using rom manager has not worked - should we wipe data and cache, because i installed with both options unchecked.
Do I flash that keyboard just like a theme?
DON'T wipe data a cache. once you've unzipped the original file and decided whether you're just installing the batteries, or the whole Watermark'd theme with the batteries, then you put the file you chose on the SD card. Then just use the power button, reboot>recovery and boot into recovery. Then choose Install zip from SD card, choose zip from SD card, then navigate to the file and use the camera button to install it.
I am new to the rooting/rom-ing of my phone, but since I applied the LFY base + 1.2 Slayher I've been extremely happy!
Has anyone tried to install this DSP mod? Android DSP page
I tried to apply it and after applying it wouldn't boot past the motorola picture. Thankfully I could boot to the ROM manager to restore from backup. Cygenomod has it in their current FROYO ROM - and the DSP update only touches 1 system file - so I would think it should work for LFY as well, but since I'm new to this I thought I'd ask the experts.
Just be patient -- it's coming in the next release (I'm running test version 1.5c and it's in there, along with the streaming audio fix).
