Is anyone else having the issue with the keyboard closing? when I try to text or sometimes search in google I get this error. The application Android keyboard (process com.android.inputmethod.latin) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

It usually happens after punching in two or so letters... everytime... Maybe I did something wrong when I updated, I had a 2.1 rooted, and just used the liquid frozen yogurt 1.4 to install it via sprecovery. Then i did the 1.41 update.... Should I have not done it that way coming from a rooted 2.1?

How you loaded the ROM is fine, assuming that you wiped all partitions prior to install. The keyboard issue related to the 1.41 patch has been reported many many times in this thread, along with suggestions for solving it. Please take some time and read the last few pages of this thread.
 
OK, so I have been talking for a long time about trying this ROM out - tonight, I am taking the plunge.

Since I am coming from ... Smoked Glass ... I am wiping an installing, so I'll let y'all know how it turns out in a couple of hours.
 
WaterMark'd theme is giving 404 errors - could you please disable the link in the OP until it is back up (I assume that you're working on getting the SS image thing fixed)....

Market issues are system-wide, not related to the ROM.

I don't think that's the case at all. My issue with the Market was noted to be system wide. Looking at the ratings, over 85% of the people have rated it 5 stars...I've tried CM, BB, Chevy and Lithium in the last week and a half and none of these ran as smoothly and as stable as this one...pick your kernel and settle in...Just my opinion.
 
Does this ROM have the Stagefright fix code from Google that allows AAC+ decoding to happen properly (i.e. Pandora sounding good again)? Thanks! :)

I'm looking for ROMs that have that fix. Currently all i know of is Simply Stunning 4.7, but i also want a rom that has really good battery life and I've heard mixed reports about Simply Stunning.

The Stagefright fix is not in 1.4 but it is working just fine in the 1.5 Beta I'm running :) Coming soon...
 
Lol - I need to get in on this beta testing thing - I beta test everything else, might as well beta test ROMs too!
 
Love the rom with smoked theme, but when i'm on a call and go back to the home screen (to open an app or whatever) i go to the notification bar, drag down, but the phone icon disappears. Any ideas to get back to the call?

I took the liberty of taking the battery images out of the LFY v1.3 and putting them into this nifty patch. Just rename to update.zip and install it in recovery and you'll have the old battery icons when you reboot.

Sadly, I'm too tired and don't usually upload files to rapidshare/megaupload, so I only uploaded it to Rapidshare and FileDropper. If someone would be so kind as to host it permanently, that would be great..
 
I installed this rom yesterday and then tried installing the orange skin. When I installed the skin, my phone went into a constant that I couldn't get out of. I had to use the rsdlite recovery to get back to stock. Any ideas why this happened? Do i need to have the launcher and everything installed prior to installing the skin? This was my first attempt at root and roms and such, so I'm not the most knowledeable on the subject. Any advice would be appreciated.
 
This ROM is wonderful. I was reluctant to leave Lithium Mod because of how well it was working on my phone. But I got the itch to try something new. My only regret is that I waited so long to try it out. I'm not having any of the above mentioned issues (except for the already noted keyboard problems but I use Swype so it really doesn't affect me). Thanks for your amazing work, Liquid!

i installed this rom and patch. i then installed the htc keyboard provided by ubrocked. and all was well. then i decided to install the modified watermark'd theme provided by bemenaker:ModWM.zip. for some strange reason, i noticed that the droid two keyboard is working now which is weird because i deleted it with root explorer prior to theming. the one ubrocked provided is still an option to use as well. did this theme undo the patch or did it fix the original keyboard issue? should i reinstall the patch?
 
I've heard some great things about your ROM, I just have one request if its not too hard, to have the Gala S theme that some other people are using, I know its been ported to CM6 and LithiumMod.

Personally that theme suites me so well that I'm having trouble swapping to another ROM, even though I'd much like. (Lithium is a bit sluggish for my taste)

If I were you, I would NOT install the patch, at least not the whole thing. If you want to make sure that you have the code to stop the OTA update, then you can take the 1.41 patch file, right click on it with 7zip and open archive. Then, in the unzipped archive, just delete the keyboard file, then close the archive. Then take the modified 1.41 patch file (without ever having unzipped it) and install that. That way, you ensure you have the update block and you don't mess with your now working keyboards.

Please describe step-by-step what you did to install the Tangerine theme. The themed launcher is an apk file included in the ROM, so you do not need to have it installed prior to installing the theme. The problem you're having isn't typical, so we need more details in order to troubleshoot it.
