Hey Stewert, question for you: Is it possible you would be able to make some Watermark'd style icons for use with Apps Organizer. I use that program to keep folders on my main screen, but the icons don't hold a candle to all the others in the Watermark'd theme.

When I download the blue keyboard, it saves it as a zip file. Is that right? because when I expand it, the apk file turns into a folder. I put it on my sd card, but obviously Astro just views it as a folder, not an apk. Do I need to put the zip file on my sd?

So when you open the zip file, there's only folders in there, not a file with an .apk extension? If that's the case, you need to rename the extension on the original DLd file from .zip to .apk, then it should install.
 
So I'm a huge fan of the rom, but the broken keyboard thing was problematic so I loaded the patch. I've changed keyboards a dozen times, rebooted repeatedly, and I still get FC's on the stock keyboard. After some fiddling I got it to allow about 6 characters before a FC, but it won't work.

Tried reinstalling the multitouch keyboard, but that doesn't work either now.

Any chance that we'll see a 1.4.2 that's the entire ROM with working stock keyboard? If not, I'll make do with Swift or find one of the HTC keyboards until 1.5.

I thought the keyboards were installed as update.zip? That's how I did it and it worked.

Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong thing...

EDIT: on second thought, I don't think I installed this way. Sorry, I got confused!

LOL, happens to all of us! Just to clarify, the HTC keyboards that UBR posted should be installed as apk's, in the regular fashion.

i used to run p3droid kernals. that is untill i tried slayher's lv 1.2. this is far and away the fastest kernal i have used to date. its even faster thac chevy's 1.25! i flashed to chevy's ss 4.7 but i could not get this kernal stable on it. i kept getting reboots. i liked this kernal so well i came back to liquid just for it!

All right, I'm gonna give you something else to try. This (https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B4...I4MmYtMzBhZDA2N2RkYjNh&authkey=CP_B8PYG&hl=en) is an update zip file with the stock android keyboard from the Black N Bold theme by thebowers (it's the one I have installed -- see pic). You can install it as an update zip, just like you did the original 1.41 patch. Make a backup first, try it and let me know if it works for you. Also, let me know if the link doesn't take you to the Google Docs page to download the zip file (this is the first time I've tried linking to a file on Google Docs).

If you load the HTC keyboards that UBR posted earlier in this thread, (page 3 I think), you will keep the new keyboard and it fixes the H/W keyboard.
 
i applied the modified wm theme. prior i had installed a keyboard that ubrocked provided. i just sent a text and noticed i seem to be back on the droid 2 keyboard again without issues???? i have the option to use the htc keys as well.

Well Swift drove me nuts and the HTC_IME FCed every time I tried to enable it. I've just reverted back to the 1.4 with no patch and will make do until 1.5 comes out. It's not that big of a deal really.

Thank god for ROM Backups.
 
I noticed there is a new version of superuser in the market now. I tried to install it, but I keep getting update failed. I figure this is because this is a source built rom.

Can anyone post the new version of superuser please? The update prompt in my market downloads section is haunting me.

There was talk early in the thread with replacing just one file and it would revert you to the stock keyboard.
 
This seems odd.. made a backup in Clockwork and then tried to install the ModWM.zip file. Clockwork will reboot, attempt to install the theme, but then go back to the Clockwork Recovery menu. When I reboot, it appears the theme wasn't installed. Tried this a few times with the same result. Not sure if anyone else was experiencing this, but I'm going to try and DL the file again and chalk it up to a bad download...

**UPDATE**
It isn't a bad download.. really not sure why this is the case. Any one have any ideas?
 
Finally got my refurbished Droid. This thing is acting weird in that scrolling through screens is not as nice as my old one. Sometimes it doesn't want to scroll. At least I got this Liquid Froyo running.

Tangerine is awesome!
 
Right there with ya brother...downloaded the patch instead of the full rom...when all else fails, read the directions right? Sucks being a newbie, but we'll get it sooner or later...haha
