You installed just the patch. Download the 1.4 LFY ROM in the first post. AFTER you install 1.4, you can apply the patch (which is what you just tried to install - the 1.4.1 file is NOT a full ROM).

Wow. I am an idiot. Thanks. Trying this now. On a side note, is this ROM overclocked?

Having problems - installed this via ROM Manager > install from SD, and it just hangs on the blue eye-looking thing. tried powering down, rebooting, nothing gets past this.

regretting trying to root now...

anytips?

Bemenaker's battery percentages do look really nice:

How did you install the battery images? I downloaded the modified WM theme files, but not sure where to go from there

How long did you give it at the blue eye...the first boot can take several minutes

Probably about 5 mins. But now I'm worried I interrupted it during its first boot and messed it up.

what's really wierd - if I touch the screen where the old unlock pattern buttons were, I feel them vibrate even though I cant see them.

Why don't you just reflash the ROM. If you backed up prior to flashing (highly recommended) you can also restore that backup. What you have done will not hurt your phone. I would wipe data/cache and then reflash the 1.4 ROM

is there a way to keep the on screen keyboard and just fix the slide out. I can type really fast with the onscreen one much better than the old keyboard, i just wanna fix the slide?

In that zip file, there are 2 zip files, one of them is just the icons (batter.zip) in case anyone wanted to add them to any theme of their choice, the other one is the watermarked1.4a theme with them added to it (WatermarkD3.3LFY1.4a.zip). Extract out Watermark.zip file from the original zip (ModWM.zip) and copy it to your SD card and install it just like you would the normal theme.

where are these zips?

Both are in there, that zip file has 2 zips inside it. 1 is just the battery icons and the other is my modified WM'd theme with the battery icons in it.

OK, so I flashed this ROM, my first, without a theme and I really didn't see any difference from stock. Tried adding smoked and I ended up with a really unstable system that kept telling me application !@&*$ has closed.
I went back to stock via ROM Manager and tried again with the same result.
Am I missing something or doing something wrong?

Did you wipe before you flashed? Also if you flashed using rom manager try using the reboot in recovery and manually flashing using recovery.

Well after reading through this entire thread, I think the noob found his error.
I grabbed the file from the first link on the first page. Which I now know is just a fix for the KB not a full ROM.

Trying again now...

The first rom I tried to flash I did the same thing except it got stuck in a bootloop. I had downloaded the rom and theme and installed the theme thinking it was the rom, almost made me give up on roms from the beginning.
