Live wallpaper

figured it out ... i thought that if i used the full screen weather htc widget then it would do the animations, which it did for rain but oddly enough not clear skys so i guess i wasted my money on beautiful widgets :/ not that i dont like the htc clock widget i just like the skins but i guess i must sacrifice :mad::( lol :p
 
Can someone explain what they are doing to be able tosee the new weather animations? Does it have something to do with the style of widget or what? :confused:
 
You just have the htc weather/clock widget on your home screen, unlock your phone, and then let it sit there and don't touch anything. Then you will see a pretty little animation.

Ahhh.. I see. I dont use the big HTC widget, just the smaller 1x2 one. I switched it up and now I see it! Pretty cool. I think I'll stick with the big widget now.

I just watched the clouds rolling in over and over for about 10 minutes lol. We're supposed to get some rain today...Can't wait!!

BTW......Glad I'm waiting on the OTA, looks like everyone with the leaked 2.1 is praying for rain. I'm gonna go outside and enjoy the sunshine!
 
I like the effect, unfortunately I don't like the full screen widget. I'm very picky about my home screen space. I wish the animations worked with the smaller widgets, too.
 
Since this has turned in to more of a weather app discussion, rather than live wallpaper....I just tried the HTC weather widget so I could see what you folks are seeing. It looks cool, but the Weather Channel just has sooo much more info, including radar maps. I do with TWC widget has animations, but I'm sure I'll find a way to live! lol

Any way to get the weather animation without having the huge clock widget, or at least not on the home screen? That's prime real estate and I already have a clock on the notification bar.
 
I have live wallpapers on my Droid.. where do I find this weather wallpaper everyone is talking about?

I'm having an issue w/ Live Wallpapers my rooted Hero on DamageControl 2.08. I can set the wallpaper and it will work just fine, but when my phone locks or goes into standby or whatever...it will just revert back to the previous regular wallpaper. Any ideas why this might be? I've disabled SenseUI and all that...so I dont think its a problem there because they work...but they just wont stay set as wallpaper. Thanks for any help.

if you're running another home replacement you can end sense, but the there would be no weather animations

live wallpapers would slow the eris down and cause lag, and the wallpaper would skip and not look good....

once 2.1 is rooted then live wallpapers would work good, im rooted and OC'd and my eris doesn't lag and the live wallpaper is very smooth
