Root Looking to root my device. Help needed

Okay, I just got another brand new EVO 4G LTE (black).

I'm now thinking of 'routing' this bad boy, since I won't be gettin the HTC One. I would love to get Sense 5 with blinkfeed.

Now...how do I do this? That is the question. :)
 
Sense 5 is a little trickier. You'll need to set up SVN to get the latest builds, but it isn't that difficult.

Go for S-off Rush. It's not that bad, really. :)

I have a question: As I was reading the steps, I'm not sure when should the device be connected to the PC.

This is one of the reasons why I avoid from answering members questions on rooting. :) Anyway, today is the day I do my thing.

P.s. What is SVN?

which method are you trying to do? if it is moonshine then first make sure that you have the requirements to use it. it needs to be on the latest ota. it also needs to be unlocked first. and you can be connected at any time before you enter the command.

here you go for svn:
[Guide][Windows][UPDATED 12/31/11] Use SVN to download Synergy & Other ROM Nightlies ignore about the synergy and other roms though.
 
Actually I just unlocked the bootloader on my new replacement about 5 minutes ago!

I'm going to give Moonshine a go here this evening. The warden has a honey do list for me. Its work before play around these parts. :p

Just got the bootloader unlocked. :)
 
Dood, go Moonshine. It's really easy. :D

Just follow the HTCdev method in Ocn's guide, install TWRP recovery, and then Install SuperSU. After that follow the Moonshine instructions.

Just got S-off....again!! :D

By now with all these videos, threads, and information we have available on rooting, I'm almost sure that 75% of average users are now rooted.

I should be all done by tomorrow --- :)

I am rocking an HTC One/Sense 5 ROM
 
I'm using JellyBam ROM. So for so good. :)

Any one else had used or is currently running this ROM?
 
I might have flashed that early on, can't remember. When you flash around a lot they have a tendancy to blend together. :p
