Help Low On Space?????

660n22s

Lurker
I am having storage space and it seems like my problem is the email is hogging it all. My Gmail account is fine but my outlook account using the stock HTC app is using a whopping 201 MB's. Ive erased every incoming, sent and deleted message and it doesnt help. Ive even deleted the entire account but the mail app is still using 201 MB's of data.

try going into apps/managing apps/then your mail app and clear cache and data and see if that helps.

Uninstall and reinstall the app. I had the same issue and this fixed it. If it's a stock app that you can't find on the market backup the apk first.

You have to be rooted to uninstall stock apps. If you are, use Rom Toolbox. Then in Rom Toolbox go to App Manager and pick all apps. Then find the app and tap it and a bubble will pop up with options. Pick backup, then backup apk. After it's backed up tap it again and pick uninstall. Then hit Menu->Batch and at the top press Restore. Pick the mail app and hit run batch operation.

I would back up all apps with astro and then do a factory data reset since you can't clear the cache.

I highly recommend rooting one day. It's very nice and gives you MUCH more control.

I'm having the same problem but I dont know why or understand. I have deleted plenty of apps but the message will go away and then come back later. I just dont know what could possibly be taking up that much space to keep getting this message...:(

Have you looked through manage applications and determined what app or apps are using space?

It's annoying to do but sometimes a factory reset will be the only way to clear some applications data. ;):(

Ok here is what i have. It says internal storage 385MB used 43MB free.

Dialer storage 38.31mb
Mail 30.10mb
Google+ 29.41mb
adobe flash 11.1 - 12.85mb
telenav gps - 12.73mb
qik video - 11.93mb
handcent - 10.87mb
maps - 10.78mb

Thats the list of those over 10mb.

Hit the button next to them that says clear cache. You might have to enter your passwords again in those apps. And you'll lose form data. But that's a minor inconvenience compared to not being able to install any more apps.

Thanks, but when you say "lose form data" what do you mean?
