No overheat issue here. It got a little warm last night while it charged but no overheat. Had this phone 3 days and so far its awesome. :D

Mine has been misteriously behaving itself as well now, still gets hot in dead space but not like before, or at least in any other games. The benefits now are outweighing the cons for me. I'm really liking the smaller form factor, the usb connector plug without that silly pull out tab, the glass has held up to being dropped on tile without scratches, the speakers are much better and sounds clearer. Performance has been excellent all around. My only con is the sloppy 2D, but that part i'm working on. I've improved it somewhat but i'll improve it greatly once the source code is released and I can build a new kernel. :D It's actually been harder to find ways to tweak it because they seem to have done a much better job with default settings vs the esteem. I really miss the silky smooth scrolling and transition effects on my esteem though. It was 60fps all the time with a gpu and cpu both having half the horse power.

umm the esteem has download mode lol, trust me I've used it enough to know ;)

Hey, Biggie! Am planning on getting this device quite soon to be honest i believe. My girlfriend needs a new device and will be immediately working on puttering over CM9 to this device once i get it good to go on the Esteem and getting closer to it as i type lol. Just letting everyone know but will hopefully, contribute here as much as i have, and continue to, on the Esteem forum.

And yes, Playful God, Biggie, and myself have all messed around in Download mode. Any device that is able to use the LG UPDATE TOOL had download mode. And idk if i will like thus device than the Esteem because the Esteem is a monster and gave played with the Connect A bit but we will see after owning for a while

Yes I know the LG Esteem has download mode I dont know if I stated that in this thread that the connect has a much better one and a accessible one that will allow us to recover from extreme bricks. I wrote the guide for the esteem's downgrade long time ago using LG download tool so obviously I know what I am talking about anyway I am glad devs are show ing up here connect has super potential. Thanks a lot epayne i cant for ur ice cream sandwich port

We don't have a buttong configuration to allow us to enter Download Mode no but it takes about 5 minutes to get into it TBH. This can definitely be helpful to the people who don't know what they are doing LoL
