doesnt work that way either. check out my other thread if you havent allready( http://androidforums.com/eris-all-things-root/248181-trouble-sending-picture-messages.html ). i took my dog over to the park,took a pic of him,sent it to the GF,and then all of a sudden the 6 that have been sending from this morning went. i sent her 4 or 5 more after that and they all went... but im not gonna say its fixed just yet ;)

just to clarify,i do NOT think this issue is this roms fault.

That 'feels' like a problem with the network, rather than the phone itself.
 
I flashed version 9 the day before he posted 10. I didn't like the way the icon pack was working with launcher pro. Some were coming out much smaller than the others, and not all of the original launcher pro icons were included. I did like the screen animations. I switched to the vanilla version and so far I'm liking it. If I find an icon pack that works well with the dock background I like, I might switch to version 10 since I'm interested to try the other gingerbread elements.

Are you connected via WiFi when you try to send these messages? I believe that this is an occasional issue with the Cyanogen ROMs - since all networking activity goes through WiFi if it is connected, and MMS is considered to be a data connection, the phone attempts to send over WiFi rather than temporarily enabling the 3G radio and sending that way. Perhaps that is why it finally started working when you went to the park?

Next time that you want to send MMS, make sure to disable WiFi for a few minutes, until the messages are sent, and see if that works. If that, indeed, is your issue.

thanks,ill definately try that. when i was trying to send them at the house,i was indeed connected to wifi :cool:

glad all is well. i found v cast song id doesnt work for me now. not too big a deal found another app that does work,and actually maybe works alittle better. :)

It has gone back to no notification sounds for phone calls. I currently receive notification sounds for SMS and email notification. I double checked to be sure that I didn't have ringtone set to silent or anything simple like that. It does show that I am receiving a call and the trackball lights up - but no ringtone. I'm really stumped about why it is doing this.

I also left a msg on XDA in the FroShedYo thread. I know they don't care for newb questions, so I hope I don't offend them for asking.

Does anyone have any suggestions, tips, or advice as to what I should check? DH is now laughing because he says I've tweaked my phone to do everything BUT be a functioning phone. Smart***! :p

KPG, does it vibrate?
Under menu > settings > call settings, is turn over to silence checked? If so try turning it off (grasping at straws here).
Under menu > settings > cyanogenmod settings > sound settings. See 'Attenuation of set volumes' grouping, make sure ringtones is set to something over 0db (mine is set to 6db, which I presume is the default since I haven't changed it).
In the same menu down to 'volume if music playing', my ringtones is set to "Music volume (default)".
Same menu, is 'quiet hours' messing you up?

Those are all the guesses I can come up with at this point.

I dbl checked those things after reading your post:
-Turn over to Silence is not checked
-Attentuation of set volumes - everything is set a 6db (default, I believe)
-volume is fine and quiet hours is not enabled.

I know. I'm really puzzled by this. It doesn't vibrate when a call comes in, but I have it set to vibrate in silent mode only. It does bring up the call screen and the trackball flashes like normal. Just no ringtone. However, I get my SMS, Seesmic, and Gmail notification sounds without issue. I really have no clue.
 
I've had this installed for a couple of days now and the only problem I have is on some of my apps when opened up and I go into menu to look at something It's black when I know I should be able to see something. If I press on something it highlights. This question may have been answered before but I can't find it.
 
I am having that same problem too, I'm assuming it's something in the notification/color settings but I haven't been able to figure out exactly which setting I need to change to fix the problem. Other than that I love this rom, it is probably the fastest I've tried. Angry Birds is actually playable on my phone! (barely)
 
The black on black menu is a know issue that's discussed in the FroShedYo thread on XDA. So far I've not seen any mention of a fix.
 
Took everything off phone. Started from scratch. Wiped. Re-flashed. DID NOT perform Titanium restore this time. Did everything manually. Phone seems to ring currently. We'll see if it lasts. It rang initially when I flashed v10 and then after my wipe the 2nd time. So only time will tell if it sticks the 3rd time.

If you go to menu>setttings>CMSettings>User Interface>Tweaks Extras> Select A Theme and change the theme to froshedyov10, it should take care of it. :)

bobcat,if i understand what youre talking about, its not fixable by changing settings. if we are talking of the same issue,its when youre in an app and you click the menu button... options come up... those have white letters and i can see em. but if i press 'more',the menu that comes up after that is black on black and i cant read it.

i have changed every color in the user inerface section to white,and it hasnt fixed it. glad to see its a known prollem.

i might try changing my theme and see if that does anything. actually i think im just going to flash something else for awhile and see how it affects my picture situation :mad:

When I had that issue, I changed the color and then rebooted. I noticed the changes only took place after rebooting. I had to play with colors to see the notification bars and the clock. I couldn't understand why some of the changes took place and others didn't. Then I rebooted and Poof! All of the changes were there. The problem is I'm such a newb, that I know just enough to cause trouble. :p

That's what I did also. When I first flashed it the time wasn't in the notification bar. I clicked on the FroShedYo v10 theme, rebooted and the time was in the notification bar.:confused:
 
when i had my little clock issue above,it popped up right away after changing the color. i dint reboot right after changing all the other colors,but have rebooted a couple times since. soon as my phone charges i think its nonsensikal time :)

Well I didn't go back to Nonsensikal. :) When I had White Widow installed, I was able to use my ringtones (music) for different contacts however I don't seem to be able to with v10. :( Am I missing something? :confused: I can't remember if I needed an app for that.
