Root Media Error

So I flashed cm7 rom with the official cm7 kernel (the first one in kernel manager) to get my hdmi mirroring working, but now when I try to install an app or access facebook it sayd "media error". The weird thing is that my youtube is working. Ive tried wiping cache and dalvik, but no luck.

Did you by chance use Rom Manager... I have never used Kernel Manager and I'm very unfamiliar with it...

go into the recovery, wipe the cache and dalvik cache (thats pretty much what you do to fix the vast majority of weird junk like this) perhaps reinstall the apk's and update your flash install. And id DEFINITELY avoid using kernel/rom/whatever manager. When you install stuff like roms or kernels, do it in the recovery. Youre just asking for issues when using one of those manager thingies. Oh, and try out a tiamat kernel while youre at it. If you need and help with how to do what im suggesting, let any of us know, we can give you a step by step tutorial thats actually quite easy to follow. People get a little gunshy when they hear that they should do stuff like this "the manual way" cuz it sounds complicated. Trust me man, its not even remotely bad :) we wont lead you astray fellow Evo rooter!

Read the rooting section for dummies. No need to read the stuff before the after rooting section considering your already rooted
