Root [Merit] Help with Rooting ZTE Merit (Z990G)

I would be more than happy if you would use tsviewer to help me get my merit rooted as soon as you can. I have followed your instructions and after final reboot, nothing. please help!
 
I have to give props where props are due, and that goes to napalm6283.

I bricked my first Merit in July of last year. Accidentally installed an incompatible ROM and had no way back in after I also installed a non-CWM recovery. Rooting was new to me and I didn't know quite what I was doing at the time. Only the Android recovery menu remained. Tried every kind of "update" file I could find to revive the dead Merit but nothing worked until trying napalm6283's Update.zip just a few minutes ago. It worked like GOLD! Thank God I created an original Nandroid backup to go back to before going Kamikaze on the Merit.

Is there any chance I could get you or someone else to do this for me?? I have no idea how to do this, but the internal memory on this phone isn't cutting it, I need it rooted
