Root [Merit] Speedfreak has a new home... Details here!

Ok here ya go, same deal as before, this is a nandroid backup and needs to be placed into this directory, sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/(place file here) then restore the backup.

To make this work, you must have an sd-ext, bigger the better, it will all turn into internal memory, 100% supercharged and zipaligned on every boot.

To date I currently have over 600 mbs of apps installed on my phone and it still boots very fast and runs without a single hiccup, but bugs have been reported, see below.

Changes from 1.3 include themed apps deodexed by out of ideas
Hololauncher
SimpleText Icon Maker
More Themeing

Known bugs,

This rom does not run well on some devices, init.d fails on some, kernel panics and auto restarts happen frequently on some devices, I have experienced none of these ill effects but I have seen the logs

Keyboard popups on key press are a little off, and you may have to reboot once to get service after the backup install, also expect the first boot to take a full five minutes, lots of stuff is going on in there.

Awesome update man. 809 mb internal memory just crazy. I have a 4g card. I went 1024 and 0 in.partition.
Love the super charge and fonts no.FC's. Ty man

This is the first time I'v given Speedfreak a try. Gave me a bit of a scare on the first boot because it lost the IMEI number & no WiFi. Second boot it bootlooped. I gave it a hour then pulled the battery. Third boot took about 10 minutes but everything seemed good except debug is broken. Is there a app blocking it?

Another question is there something special that needs done for su if I change back?

Nothing special needs to happen to switch back to Superuser, just download it from the market, start it up and find the option to force a bianary update, then reboot and your good to go.

I wasnt aware that debug was broken, ill check it out

Debug still not working for me.

Another question: The throttle folder. That is the stock script? Just wanted to make sure before I delete it.

Seems like there is a lot going on in this ROM. I'm still trying to fell my way around it. Looks great tho. Good work.

Edit:
Hpw long until the battery settles down? Seems to be sucking it fast.

Itll drain fast for the first few charges, and especially if you are coming from a rom without the oc kernel, and also if your playin with it a lot.

Is this a debug through adb that you are speaking of? I dont use it really, wouldnt know. I can enable debugging from my handset, I know it works because it is required to use certain functions on apps like link2sd, but other than that, I guess I dont know.

The throttle folder can have the write permissions taken away and the contents deleted, other files that need the same treatment include system/data/tombstones, system/data/anr, system/data/system/dropdox, andsystem/data/system/usegestats.

Enter airplane mode so they are not watching you do it, then take away any and all write permissions to those folders, and delete all of the contents.

That is how they track us.

Cool. Thank you.

My phone just crashed hard. took two boots to get it back up but now debug is working again. Doesn't show the bug tho. I could really careless if the bug is there or not as long as it works.

I have a few users reporting bugs, this rom is preforming flawlessly for me, but I have to institute a "Use At Your Own Risk" warning.

I dont believe that I have tweaked anything differently for my personal copy of 2.0, but if anybody wants a copy of it, I will make it happen.

Ive loaded 2.0 but have not installed it yet. Im plaining on doing it tomorrow. But yes it would be nice to have your verson also.

I'll try it again later to see if I can give you more info on the bugs but my phone started crashing everytime I booted up. It would look like it we the first time the phone started. When it first started doing this a restart fixed it but it got to the point it just crashed before it would start again. Debugging had stopped working again also. I'll try to get you a catlog.

that would be great, Id love to take a look at it.

I think maybe the supercharged minfree settings are too much for your phone, I would download a copy of smanager, and also grab a copy of the supercharger scripts and tone it down a little. It might help. But I dont know, it runs so smooth on my device, no random reboots, no fc errors.

keep me posted

I installed on my z900 and all seems good. It only took about a min to boot up after install. No problems here. Great work. The battery is doing lots better then on the last one.

I have a problem with the 2.0. It restarts 3 secs after you turn the phone off. My wifes started doing it off and on this last week. Mine started doing it after the holo update. Any sugguestions?

justa chompin at the bit huh?

How long after the install did this start?

Honestly it kinda sounds like power button failure, are there any error logs in /system/data/local/? Those would help me dial in the problem. Supercharger and link2sd debug logs are normal, but if you ever get one thats called "supercharger bootloop log" then I really wanna see it.

Well tried it again. Didn't have the reboot ever 15 seconds this time but stil not working for me. Says I have 1.8g free but won't let me force my apps to system apps because it saysthere is not enough room. If a app isn't a system app it force closes. if I try to use root browser it reboots. On every boot I get the touch android to begain. If i skip it my account is still on the phone tho.

i really don't think it is the ROM by itself but it don't work on my phone.

It is the Merrit but I let someone else use myy download & he said it was running great. I have installed it three times & all three times it has been diffferent but repeating some of the previous problems.

I would live to get this script for data on the SD card running.
