Root MetaMorph for Transparent Widgets

I am looking to use MetaMorph to make some of my widgets transparent.

I found this link and I know they are for Nexus One but I was assuming most of the widgets will work for the X.

I'm mainly looking to set ChompSMS and Google Calendar Widget. I followed this directions in order to morph these widgets.

It says the theme has been applied but they aren't working. Any advice?

There's a thread on XDA that has tons of APKs for transparent widgets

I attempted to install ChompSMS, Facebook, Pandora, and Genie. They all failed to install.

Anyone have advice for getting MetaMorph to work?

Well, I couldn't get this to work. So I bought and installed Pure Calendar and Pure Messenger. I think it was worth the $4.

To get them to install, they have to be on the root of the sd card (not in any folder) then you have to delete the original application or it won't take. Then choose the transparent apk and install it from your sd card. They all worked for me.

I've never had to put anything on the root of my card, I have way to many things on my card to not have them in folders. Every Rom, boot logo or any other zip has said "put on root" but it has never been necessary, and I've flashed almost every Rom tons of themes, several boot logos and countless framework tweak zips and never had a problem

i dont think its actually a requirement...it just helps people find them easy from the Clockwork screen...
