oh shhhhhh :p i have some personal issues with miami but anyways yea i'm moving and i need some lte in my spot ..lol so share the love :aetsch:
I know how that goes, but why move all the way out of state?

move to the west coast, or just up the coast, :p
personally I dont blame you for wanting to leave miami, though I would like to live were the coldest temps are over 70 year round:D

I have been thinking of moving south, probably fort meyers area but only after much more research.
only thing I know for a fact, I wont move away from the coast, I love looking out at the ocean, and having the beach just a short drive away.

hmm, really, how have they set it up? I have yet to see tmo using metro lte here, I can see both tmo and metro lte on my phone but can not connect to either.

Well only place so far is Vegas its more of they use the exact same towers with antennas broadcasting both ids on the same spectrum frequencies

^^Wow ok running same everything except MCC-MNC

OP should be edited or a new post so we know what's actually factual and not speculation. So many questions, it would be easier to have a go to post with definitive factual answers to alleviate people's concerns.

Do we know for sure which LTE is getting used with byod?

I'm also curious if someone has speed matched byod against T Mobile to ensure the byod speeds aren't limited or cut back.

No but there was the SpeedTest from Clearwater that showed both T-Mo LTE and Metro LTE. T-Mo was Substantially Faster.

I found that VERY interesting.

Told you they were gonna give us the Super Speedway Restrictor plate.

They haven't started combining yet only once a market has been established can they start combining right now they are trying to test those markets for launch. If they started combining while testing they wouldn't be able configure the network and do quality control effectively because of too many different factors.

Interesting. Hopefully by the end of the year, everything gets settled down. If speeds are not cut down and are actually on par with TMob, I'm gonna consider byod. If I go LTE that is.

That new HTC One 5.9 incher looks interesting as well. :/

I have a question for y'all... My cousin wants to use the byod plan to get an iPhone 5(shudder)... he has the 40 dollar unlimited plan from the esteem days... Would he have to change his plan to use byod or would he be grandfathered in?...

That is the question all of us want to know.

Already having the 4G plan, grandfathered unlimited unthrottled data it should just transfer over but it will depend on metro.

I know for me specifically if it does not we will drop metro and go with straight talk or possibly the other tmo reseller that says they will be using lte.

I hope they don't force the plans to switch...I don't think it would benefit metro either if their subscribers switch... We probably wouldn't switch to another carrier... I hope my thirty dollar plan for 250 MB gets carried over also...

yea i had ask one of the reps and they said i would have to switch plans to use the one of the byod phones. but my maybe that only applies to me since i did not have a 4g plan. hope they will let you keep it.

Ha, another one of the few who jumped on the $30/mo 2012 holiday special and still on it. Saving $10 per month adds up. I'm already at $70 savings so far and counting.
:D

Yes if you're buying a 4g device...you need a 4g plan... which is why in optimistic that they won't make me get a new plan since I have an older version...

Does anyone have any experience with T-Mobile's EDGE? How does it compare to 1x? I'm thinking about trying the 500mb plan.

My edge speeds can be faster than what I was getting with metros lte. Now that's not saying much though. It's not something you would want if you are a heavy internet or streaming person though. With full edge speeds it stays around 1mbps.

But honestly with mvno plans being so cheap and unlimited, it would make sense to just get an unlimited plan and get full HSPA+ speeds. +21 averages 10-15mbps and +42 averages 15-25mbps. If your in the coverage area that allows it that is.

Hope this helps.
