Root [MetroPCS] All black status bar?

I remember when I got my Motion there wasn't much to customize. But I could grab a modified System UI.apk that made the status bar full black instead of that greyish color.

I was wondering if it would be possible to do the same thing for this phone. I really prefer the all black status bar over the grey one. Thanks in advance

you can achieve that (CRT animation) with the xposed framework and a module. Thats how i do it on my F3.

I'm using XBlast Tools from XDA. I'm sure there are other modules that might do the same thing.

If you're rooted, you can use the Ultimate Online Theme Kitchen to customize icons, status bars, colors, themes for any Android phone. Basically you upload your own phone's framework file, customize it online, then download the modified framework. Make sure to create a recovery backup image first since this could break things.

I don't want to risk a brick. I know how to fix it if I do but I have to much that requires my phone for it to be down.
