Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Its time..

Trying to help him now and get it straightened out. Toolkit is confirmed working so Idk what went wrong.


Phone boots, but no screen. Power menu works on screen. LED works. No screen. Thought the launcher was bad but nope. Still trying.

if i could i would help but i'm not so good with the root thing...and plus i am scared as hell if i mess this $550 up ...what i would recommend is Google it or you tube

no way man thats messed up insurance is guna charge u a fee and warranty might know u tried rooting it. ima do a nandroid backup right now then format and give u a nandroid after formatting then recover my old stuff.

Delete the accounts.db file located in data.

This will delete all the accounts thats used on your phone. Then send it over.

lol negative. Flashing CWM can only be done with access to system files and access to system files can only be done by acquiring root.

Check out my root terms for the ill informed post for more info on rooting and what not if your not to keen on what rooting actually means. ;)

On the toolkit u posted option 6 is for backup and restore, I was wondering if it could be done through the toolkit..

sorry I should of put a comma... On the toolkit you posted, there is an option on there to back up and restore (option 6 then 4) and was just wondering if it could be done before doing root just to be safe and not end up like apeiiron lol

You cant backup anything before you root. I dont understand what your trying to do.

Others have also confirmed root is working fine through the toolkit. There was another option posted in one of the threads somewhere but it's basically the same thing. you can check it out.

You have to root the phone to be able to back anything up. Thats just how it is.

Haha. AOKP will win. I promise. Best ROM Ive ever ran hands down.

It's just like CM roms BUT you have extensive options for UI. For example you can move the clock to where you want. Remove AMPM, make it small, big, whatever. Thats only the tip of the ice berg.


I cant stress it enough. AOKP and NOT CM10 guys. CM is great and all but now since AOKP is on the scene, CM is overrated. I only say that because AOKP is on the scene and is dominating over CM. If AOKP wasn't around then I would run CM10 but luckily we have AOKP. :D

Trust me ;) AOKP. just try it.

I'm almost there.
I have to clear out my sd card to dump the files and it's taking forever
Moving 6gb worth of data in a class 6 card takes a while...
Then it's home run.
