Huh? You csnnot restore or install a custom rom with stock recovery. Download either the twrp or cwm tar file and flash them in odin. You can get into download mode right?

Edit: check this thread out. It has the twrp tar file and stock rom too just in case...

tried that, tried to load the twrp or cwm recovery... even have a copy of the cwm recovery on the internal memory, but it doesn't pass signature verification and fails... will look at it again just incase i missed something. but because ODIN fails at the NAND write, I am begining to think she decided to take a trip south and not come back. will see if I can re-install cwm recovery,,,,


IT LIVES!!!!!!!!!!! was able to use the TWRP recovery, and did a restore that I did a while back... thank the gods and for everyones help in here.

Tried to edit those settings and BAMN no screen. Seems like the phone is alive because I can turn on the flashlight by long pressing the home button. My notification icon flashes. I can't see anything though. I tried to boot into recovery with no luck.
DAMN IT!

this maybe a dumb question, but can you load a cyanogenmod using TWRP??? haven't tried it and after my last round of failure, I want to ask before I do something...:confused:

Yes. You can't use Rom manager I believe but a good old regular flash will work. Just boot into recovery. Also, if you use different recoveries, be sure to label your backups so you know which one to use see when restoring.
 
tried todays nightly, loaded ok, guess I forgot to clear the cache AFTER the install.. I did it before the install yesterday (note to self... CLEAR THE CACHE AFTER THE INSTALL). Still noticed a screen flicker while playing music through Apollo, but only when I change the volume. GPS seems to be working...:D
 
I understand the 10 is going through some recovery builds right now. But I need a for of cyanogen mod that can be used on my sprint galaxy s3. Right now my phone is rooted and recovers with clockwork mod. Also.l, if I have it rooted already, like yhe htc..how do I get s-off on my samsung sprint galaxy s3
 
Update 20130109 look great ..they finally fixed low in-call volume , GPS bluethoot ..it feels more smooth :D:D .. The only problem I have is the gallery flickering. But u can go to developer options and disable HW overlays .. And boom no more flicker

I tried it.. bluetooth was not working properly for me, and for me thats the most important. It played for maybe 30 seconds and the stopped.

109 had a reboot earlier listening to music. Gpu still clogs up after playing game, gotta force stop and clear cache. Everything else is good with me. :)
