Root [MetroPCS] [ROM][4.4.4]CARBON ROM Kitkat 4.4.4 for LG Optimus F6 [LOTS OF FIXES]

glad to hear about this preveiw of a new change.i havent sold my f6 yet,kinda wondering if i should dust it off and give it a whirl.ill have to plug in my wifi router though as i dont have service on that phone nomore lol
 
Been running the preview for a few hrs now seems solid. I disabled screen off animation and flashed kernel that enables the ov cam. Also I believe that Call echo is fixed.
 
Fair enough I have my computer buy it needs a few upgrades. Including a new graphics card and more ram. It's a crappy dell workstation so you can bet it's not gonna do what I need it to do right away... But the processor is nice. It's a a pentium D 3.7 ghtz dual core. Specs (proposed)

Intel pentium D 3.4 ghtz + (I believe 8 mb L2 cache) dual core... Sadly the motherboard won't allow quad core. It yells at me at boot about he clock speed as it is.
4 gb PC2-5200 800 mhtz clock DDR2 Ram (ddr3 not possible with motherboard. :()
533 mhtz fsb
Intel Soundmax integrated audio (48.0 kHz max)
Ati radeon 54xx series 1gb DDR3 VRAM pci-e gpu card, small form factor to fit small chassis. (would have done NVidia ion but power consumption too much for power supply. :()
250 gb 7200 rrpm sata wd bladk series HD,upgrsdable to solid state... Must be 3.5 inch Bay compatible., again power consumption already enough with gpu....)
Cd did burner (unsure of specs)
8 usb 2.0 ports. 6 rear 2 front.

It's a a cheap throw together peice of poop but it may work.:)
 
Why does NVidia have to take so much power. Whyyyyy... :/? I've got the best dell optiplex on the block. LOLZ OMG... Uh no

Well I hate to say this but I had my first reboot on the mystery ROM. I was streaming Pandora as I do and the phone just went dead and rebooted. No reason as to why the reboot.

iam hoping to have most of those bugs worked out of the tree by the next release of anything. ive done a ton of cleanup

does it require any precautionary measures? ...as with Carbon?

raising the low,turning off CRT,turning off vibration?

i'll try it vanilla first and see....leave out the other things i've become accustomed to patching for Carbon and CM Unofficial ....

Well kind of turn off vibration it is a known problem like carbon. It does have a reboot issuse but not sure what is causing that to happen.Might have been streaming pandora and txting at the same time caused it because it happened both time when I was using both apps at the same time.
 
well...i experienced the vibration glitch...shut down via holding the power button....fired it back up......went through all the carbon settings ....vibrate,raised the low..and since there is no crt to dis/enable...i turned off animation...

it was probably off to begin with...i just made sure...i don't remember...

i was ok with the squares...and the flowers...but, i just fell in love with a cheesey cm11 theme called The Chase.....it has batman bootanimation....it looks corny.....but it's the BATMAN...lol...nerd.

and i love the green and round 3d icons....missing the slider button for wifi,blewtooth,and mobile networks......

but,...it has a batman bootanimation..yes!.ok

i appreciated the MYSTERY ROM panasche

make some bomb MYSTERY ROM (say it with an echo) CM11 themes....

it's got glitches...but,the advancements ...the evolution of what the devs are wanting shows..GOOD JOB!!!

you guys are amazing... period.
 
Ok just had something really weird happen to the Mystery ROM I picked it up and found for some reason it said safe mode in the bottom left corner. Has anyone else seen this.
 
Well to add more to it I have had multiple reboots today doing different things one was while txting. I was writing a txt and received a txt and the phone rebooted then later on I was taking a photo and the phone rebooted also. I have noticed that when I did take a picture the photo look like something out of poltergueist with color hues acrossed the photo. Oh yeah this would be on the CM11 Mystery Rom.
 
What version of kernel does this ROM sport? Similarly, is there a github for the kernel source?

I have an Optimus F3Q, that I would like to (attempt to) merge the kernel source with, to identify a device tree (but will only work if the kernel is 3.7+).

Love the Carbon Rom, But doesn anybody else have agps Glitch? either gps using app crashes instantly or no gps servers can be found.
 
Yes I have the same issue I had made a post about this earlier in this thread about the GPS not working and also causing the phone to reboot. Good to see that I am not crazy. I have not had much luck with any of the kitkat rom's and GPS working properly. The Mystery Rom that DM47021 has built the GPS kind of works but not to where I would trust it. As with all the ROM for this phone I am lucky to get 4 sat's but under stock Jb rom I can get like 14 sat's.
