Root [MetroPCS] [ROM] [BETA] [4.4.4] CyanogenMOD 11.0 Unofficial

Trust me you want carbon. Cm11 has less features in general, and this build has a lot more bugs than carbon. Bluetooth doesn't work and the phone will randomly reboot on you. Also, sometimes when you press the power button to turn on the screen the button backlights are the only thing that lights up. When this happens you almost always have to force a reboot by holding the power button or pull the battery and restart the phone to work again. Also, sometimes when you long press on an app shortcut to move it the phone will freeze and start vibrating for a long period of time. Also, the black screen of death and random reboots almost always occur while you are doing something like playing a game or video or music.
Edit: No disrespect to Hroark13 he is an awesome developer. Its just a sad fact that ROMs don't always get completed and this is one of those cases. Lg threw him a lot of curve balls with this phone and he didn't have the time to finish working out all the bugs.

I see OK thanks for the heads up, I'll stick with the Xperion ROM till I get can partition this SD card. Was going to use a friends kk device to do it with aparted but they're device isn't rooted so wouldn't work ofcourse. Thanks again man.
 
Ya guys what is available for the F6 is what u get so...... Ya it is what it is and Hroark and other just have other things going on Carbon Rom very sweet Xperion ROM very nice..... Other than that grab a new phone. My advice the Leon is decent in price but not in rooting or roaming at this point. That's pretty much it for the F6 though I recommend either Xpeeion jelly bean or kitkat carbon ROM 4.4.4 you can't go wrong with either and check out Proposal theory it you need some extra memory depending on you're SD capability class 10 etc.
 
I would like to know where can i find the source code without compiling for the LG F6 optimus MS500, even though the rear camera is not working in my device, and i would like change the lockscreen, so yo can use the options that the stock version (MetroPCS) provides. If you would help me, thanks for advance

Install cm-11-20140817, everything is fine, but the rear camera does not work, when I run camera, run forward camera, and how to switch on the rear camera, I do not know

Instructions:

First time flashing CyanogenMod 11 on your device, or coming from another ROM?
  1. Root the device and install ClockworkMod or TWRP Recovery.
  2. Perform a backup of your current ROM.
  3. Perform a factory reset while in recovery
  4. Flash CyanogenMod.
  5. Flash GAPPS

Make sure you set the correct APN for your provider, for mobile data to work (thanks ksjd0414)

Hello Sir! I am in need of help build Cyanogenmod 10 for the Lg F6. I am totally out of options with the build process. I have everything on repo but run into a snag with the . build/envsetup .sh with a roomservice.xml/repo manifest issue. Any help would be great.
 
I am not sure if it has been mentioned before but on the D500 it will reboot every ten minutes or so, and will take a good minute or more just to reboot. Other than that it is the best rom available and is perfect. Please look into this, I can post debug information if you point me in the right direction
 
I will take initiative as I should have done initially. Note that I had to reinstall, because as you can imagine having a phone constantly restarting wasn't good for a mobile phone. I came back because I am having even more issues with the only other alternative, Xperian ROM, and cannot reflash stock for some reason. Attached is aLogcat ROOT (RAW) log after the crash. The crash appears to happen randomly after turning the screen off/sleep, but will never happen while the screen is actually on. Most commonly this will begin after attempting to turn the screen back on after idling for so long, but you can also notice it happening by the screen randomly lighting up to display the Cyanogenmod boot animation. During this crash, the powerbutton will not power on the screen, but will illuminate the bottom buttons. This will continue until the inevitable Cyanogenmod boot animation which is the device rebooting.

I thought it might have been internet or something else, it didn't crash in airplane mode at first but it just did. Here is the log. It seems to be cutoff so please instruct me if you need more. I tried saving as soon as I could because it was constantly writing more and cutting off more on boot.

I will edit this post as I learn more.

Edit: I have replaced Cyanogenmod again with Xperion. This is necessary because I need stability, I will be giving this phone to my father. Hope a fix comes soon.

P.S., not entirely relevant to this post but as feedback. Two things; my T-Mobile phone now thinks it is under MetroPCS, and most of the ringtones are cutoff at the end. About the MetroPCS part, APN settings for T-Mobile are intact, everything works fine, just now instead of LGD500, you will be LGMS500. I don't know if you would need T-Mobile or MetroPCS drivers on PC but I cannot manage to flash the stock rom anymore as the phone isn't detected in download mode no matter what and I don't know if this is because of this change. Figured that was worth mentioning, there ain't no turning back to stock if you flash this as far as I know so be warned.
