MetroPCS samsung galaxy s4

Well, I just verified it backchannel on Faceplant with Metro. Richard was told correctly. To latch onto the T-Mo teat is gonna cost you. For me, $60 more a year. You have to be on a current plan. (I specifically asked if I'd get a S4 like Richard did and they said change to a current plan. )

That's the wrong damn answer for me and I told them so.

Charging me $60 more a year just to leave CDMA won't do it for me.

Don't I understand that someone NOT in a strong T-Mo area could get slower speeds under the new GSM? If I paid $60 more a year And ended up with slower speeds I'd damn sure Have To go all crazy ass honey badger on them.

Shabby, I'll bet the $17 difference is the mandatory in store activate plus tax on the $17.

If people did their homework they would see the price on metro's site which says $549 taxes on most states is 7% so that's roughly 30 bucks added to $550 so leaves us at $580 if they charging the activation fee along with the price that's crazy. And also they are charging $2 more than what most dealers charge.

Edit: just did the math and it's more than $30 to be exact 7% more would be $38.43 added to $549 plus activation now keep in mind u can haggle the activation since it's a store fee and not a metro fee some places in Tampa let me off on $10 fee than rather $15 so good luck ladies :D

They add extra for accessories that might be the reason why is $567 just say no to the accessories

I called the Santa Rosa Corp MetroPCS store which in the San Francisco area this morning. They got the Galaxy S4 yesterday. The total cost is $567 plus sales tax. I asked if it would access the MetroPCS 4G LTE network in addition to T-Mobile

I might finally do that tmo switch, was already thinking about it with my 15% discount itll probably come out a bit cheaper than metro

I try and be an advocate for the Mothership on Faceplant.

If I have a bitch with them I usually take it backchannel.

Not this time.

I DID ask them about this backchannel this afternoon.

NOW, knowing their answer, I just left them a burning bag o dog poo on the front public porch of theirs on Faceplant.

I ask them if they were trying to make US pay for the merger. :D

That oughta wake them up.

Make us proud Senator Bruce :p

I wouldn't mind paying the extra 5 bucks a month for faster speeds and more phone choices if they had been more upfront. But they are the ones who said our rates wouldn't change so now I'm not wanting to do this on general principal.

Look at how they word it.
Does my current service or rate plan change?

No, your current service or rate plan will not change unless you choose to change it.

Well it sucks that they are going to charge an extra $5 a month for all their GSM phones. But considering that once I buy the GS4 I have to switch plans since I currently have a 3g phone, I'll have to get the $50 plan since it's similar to the plan I have now. I pay $45 a month because of the family plan, but I guess I'll lose it because of this. Still, with the 2.5 GB of data I get a month, I only use about 1 Gb on mobile and another 1Gb on wifi, I can't find a better deal on T-Mobile. So I'll stick with MetroPCS.

The "better deal" i used to say was a mvno when considering t mobile. But they have changed the game recently with these tasty features so I don't know anymore.

All about perspective

Theyre not charging an extra $5 for all GSM phones theyre just making us switch from our current $55 unlimited(some of us) to $60 unlimited the rate plans remain the same as they were at the finalization of the merger though $40,$50 & $60

True. But from what I've seen, I would have to get the $60 plan, I think it excludes taxes, to get a plan similar to the one I will get from MetroPCS. At least that is the only option I've seen from them when I looked at the GS4. I don't know how their pre-paid plans are and if I can use the GS4 for it.

Oh I see, thank you for the clarification! Then things will remain the same for me.

Some of us have $40 unlimited unthrottled plans, Been on it since 2011 or so, at that time when the esteem came out the 4G was not as expensive
