Root [MetroPCS & T-Mobile] {Guide} Tethering... on MPCS & TMO F3

try to do mpcs guide to se if it wrks.. so far i had 3 tmo.. wrking n 6mpcs phone wrking w/no issues exept that w/phns it take a while. but it wrks

try to change.. LAN to a 192 bla,bla,bla.. and setup-method to Netd-ndc(master) lets see what happens..
cus i connect my BN Nook. Laptops (alienware n MCpro. my tv, dvd.. all @ ones...
off course data its a bit slow but with no hassles.

n hav u mess with tweaking da nexus

I will definitely try. I have it rooted and Franco kernel flashed. Thats about it.
 
I just bought a lg f3 yesterday. Rooted it with motochoper, used titanium backup to install older version of foxfi , and it works with no problem . upsell is not a issue, use custom user agent on my laptop for waterfox, firefox and chrome . Galaxy tablet has no problem with the tether. have used 1.45 gb of data and no problems . my foxfi version is 2.1.2, with full version key and foxfi addon version 3011.
If you are rooted, remember Aptoide could be your best friend , But always be careful of bogus apps . I can make available the 3 foxfi aps if anyone needs them .
 
Before I even saw this post I used "Super tether" to tether my laptop via usb. . It has an option to remove user agent. . Though not the simplest to set up.. it worked pretty well

a tutorial with links would be great , need to pickup the wife a new beater phone , she goes thru them like toilet paper.

you mean send her to the store so she can take the word of a metro pcs employee on what she should get with my credit card ?
i take it you are not married, cause even if she paid for a phone out of her own pocket it would cost me twice as much in the long run .

No. I'm just saying maybe she should pay for it but you go together to pick it out. Ppl tend to treat things a helluva lot better when they pay for it themselves... Lol, has nothing to do with being married or not or what age someone is. :p
 
I saw your post and I was wondering if you could send me the fox fi version and the other 2 apps you used to tether (thanks :D

Yes.

Posting this through a Wifi Hotspot through my F3 on T-mo's HSPA "4G" network (no LTE in my house).

I usually go through settings > Tethering > Wifi hotspot

So I guess I am lucky .... 'bout time.

The Phone does ... ehm .. phone T-mobile every time I enable the hotspot, but my plan allows for tethering (within my data cap)
 
I need those foxfi apps. I also have an Lg F3 on Metro...im rooted but im blocked by Metro from Wifi tether cause im on the unlimited plan. Its drivng me crazy!!! Im trying to tether from the f3 to another inactive phone and nothing works. Any help would be much appreciated
 
I followed your guide as told, but it doesn't work.

My computer goes to blue-screen error mode on me and restarts.

My ipod just says "Cannot Connect to Outride)" (Outride = SSID)

I rechecked everything, and it's all on default settings but the ones you specified. Please help, it drives me nuts that Metro is winning since I can't find a way to pay them their stupid extra $10 a month. I already have unlimited 4g. So what's the deal?

MY wife's LG Motion is 4.0.4
the stock tether works just fine
so I don't take anything from that jerky LOUD video on youtube
