Root [MetroPCS & T-Mobile] [ROM] [F3] Xperion ROM *Updated 2/13/2015*

Alright so I'm usually really carfull with this stuff but I need your guys help I tried all of the above to bring back my 4g LTE but with no luck so I tried putting the stock ROM back on there I had to sideload it but I was unsuccessful when I went back to try it again the file was gone off my PC and not showing up anywear including the recycling bin so what I'm trying to say is I need an upload of the stock ROM it will be greatly appreciated

GameTheory, with the release of android 5.0 lollipop (after it actually comes out fully and there is a lot more stuff about it, so probably in a couple weeks or so) can you update the rom to make it visually like 5.0 and have some of the apps? I'm not asking for much and its okay if you don't want to, but if you can make the next the update of this rom based on that it would be very appreciated.
 
Quick question for GT. Which framework apk is used for the visual resources? I had started to port my themes, but the icons in the framework-res.apk don't match those displayed. My themes were originally made for GB AOSP roms, and I couldn't locate the correct placement for the modified icons...

I think what you're looking for is lge-res.apk. You'll also need it to decompile any system files like systemui or phone/contacts, etc. ;)

What are you trying to do? Are you trying to change the icons for the system apps and make themes?

Yes, I'm a themer. I originally came from the OV scene, and I was part of a team (including gherkaul, benslgdroid, anthonycr, and others) who created almost a hundred different themes. I'd like to port over the 30 or so that I personally created.

Thanks for the heads up on where to find the icons I'm after.

OK that would be nice if we can get some of your cool themes cause I've seen them and their pretty good :) But like gherkaul said, you probably are going to have to decompile an apk file. Sorry I wasn't much help, I'm not very familiar with this part of roms and theming in general.
 
Oh, no worries! I'm an old hand at decompiling apks, I just didn't find the assets I was looking for where I expected to find them. Considering the number of themes I'd like to port, I may write up a script to automate it. If so, I'll share it so gherk can use it too. Have you seen his work? He's awesome.

Wow, are we going to be able to port CM 10 from the vm/sprint version to the t-mobile/metro pcs version? Does it work, and if it does then I think we might be able to port it with some modifying.
 
I don't know how close the LS720 is to the P659, but if we can isolate the differences between them this could open up a tremendous amount of development!
 
They have different hardware. The LS720 is a CDMA phone and the MS/P659 are GSM phones. Besides that CM10 rom is in alpha and not a daily driver.
 
I know you can't port a Rom from GSM to CDMA, even if that's the only difference. I learned that from the HTC Wildfire S. Well, we're no worse off than we were yesterday!
 
Well I guess its okay since I'm content with this rom. The only thing that could make it better would be retexturing the app icons to make them like lollipop and other tweaks like that to make it more lollipop like. Lollipop just looks so nice and colorful and it would be great if this rom could do some of that. Brotherwring, your a themer right? How do you change the icon of a system app?
 
Well, icons are simple. The easiest way is to use a launcher like Nova that supports icon themes. The harder way is to decompile the home apk, replace the png files in the res folder and recompile it. I'd recommend using a tool like Virtuous Studio for a project like that, but that's a lot of work for what you're after. My themes have always been more about changing things like the battery icons and menu colors, things a launcher can't alter.
 
ok can some one please please please please tell me how to recover my lg optimus f3 p659 from a bootloop i end up in a bootloop after reflashing this lovely rom that i really love and enjoy alot but now am stuck in a bootloop and needs help urgently please
 
For bootloops, I would just get into recovery, wipe dalvik cache which factory resets, but then I restore data and it boots correctly.
