Root [MetroPCS / TMOBILE] [ROM] U.S. KitKat MINI 4.4.2

I have the sd card partitioned in preparation for the sd card hack but not set up for it yet. Didn't think it mattered. For the recovery I tried first with twrp then just reset the whole phone with kdz rerooted and everything to make sure everything was clean and used cwm as the op said to. Same to no avail.

The only thing it comes to mind is the sd card. Cus i hav used both recovery.. And it works.. I had flashed all roms. In the f6 league.. And all hav been go tru exept when i messed around with partitioning sd so i had to formated back to fat32... I think this its how far i can go.
 
I'll try again when I get the chance and report back to you. Flash with a normal sd set up?

Just to update you, I got it working! :) The only thing I did differently was download the rom with my TF300 and transferred it to my sd card. Not sure why it worked now buut. Ah well lol. Thanks! First impressions of the rom...vey slick. It feels much quicker than usual and even the camera displays at a higher frame rate, not something I have seen in a long time from my smartphones. I'm impressed.

Partitioning allocation table type and placement of those partitions on your external microsdcard affect your readablity and functions of your devices os. There is a system apk called fused location that will come into play for you tweaking types experimenting with memory mods. The 442 0s by design had writing to external micro sdcard restrictions in place by google for security which was modified on this kit kat os version.
 
ok, so i installed last night, & i've gottta say, great job. i've got the ms500 on metropcs, & all of my hardware works except the near field communications, & the live wallpaper. i've tried 3 different wallpapers, 2 of them crash when i try to set them as wallpaper, & the third just doesn't do anything when i try to set it. other than that, everything seems to be working just fine. oh, one other thing, how to bring up the developer options to turn on debugging? it's not even in my system settings menu anynore.

For dev mode go to settings. About phone. Builders number click on it 3 or 4 times
For near device u hav2 turn nfc n bean on
 
ok, i've turned on the share beam on, but the nfc switch is still greyed out. ehhh, i can probably live without that for now. no word on why live wallpapers wont work yet?
 
U have to turn NFC on first n then bean...
In yhe livewallpaper i think we do not hav ... livewallpaper.pickerbin .app install
 
so if i could get someone to shoot me a copy of livewallpaper.pickerbin .app from a kitkat build, then the live walpaper should work?
 
ok, i have one more issue now, besides the fact that the NFC button doesn't even appear anymore.... when i first installed this, i noticed i had a lot of free memory on the internal drive, then while in recovery mode, i accidentally did a backup of everything to the internal drive, & the phone couldn't even finish the backup because it ran out of room. so i formatted everything, & reinstalled the rom from scratch, & it still only had like 300 megs free after the install (of course, i could restore from the sd card all my apps, but then there are 0 bytes left free on the internal drive). anyone know what's going on here? & i'm still not getting why the NFC is gone now.

For what i read u did a backup to internal... Now memory cache is broken.. You would hav2 start from real bottom wipefactory reset, wipecache, wipedalvik,
Format system, cache, datat, data.media sd. And flash again... Sorry... All img are broken no gapps flashing at all.
No sdhack... Sorry...
 
ok, i formatted & wiped everything & the memory problem is fixed (yay!) the NFC button is still greyed out though. when i first click system settings/share&connect, the button is there, just grey & unselectable). i can turn on share beam, but the NFC never comes on. anyone else having this problem?

The back cover on the F6 is an antenna/receiver for the NFC.
Check the contacts on the inside on the back and on the phone side where they touch.

One other person has told me their case affected its operation . They reseated the back cover and tried without the case, and had reported success. They also had to edit their notificaton buttons on the pull down menu to add the NFC button to get them started.

Has any one else had any problems with NFC not working ? ?

i added the nfc button, but it just flashes on & off about every second. looking at logcat says it's looping over & over, tries to init, can't get permissions, denies it, then it starts the init process all over again.
