Root MidnightRom: CM10.1 (4/6/2013) Version 1.05

Loving the ROM so far. Had a shutoff about a hr ago. 1st hiccup since installing. I am on 1.01
And I am only able to over clock to 1512MHz.
There is no higher choice

New changelog. Fixed a few things from the last one that I was uploading lol

New changelog.

3/6/2013 - 1.03
-Integrated AC!D Audio engine (Xloud,AwesomeBeats,Dolby,etc.)
-Updated SuperSU
-Fixed install script errors
-Changed MMS app to now display voicemail notification texts. Still no notification bar voicemail notifications, but it's something lol
-Updated default adblocking

Even then, thats still overclocked from 1.2. So not sure what that guys issue is. You can use Kernel Tuner or built in Performance Settings after unlocking Developer Options to set the clock speed

I want to over clock up to 1.7 because in this and dastins and most ROMs the default is 1.5. So when the OP said overclockable up to 1.9 I got excited. But he meant 1.5. so i have no issue my friend thank you.

Cache, Dalvik, and system. Then flash gapps after. All your data and settings will still be there ^_^

So wipe those before install then flash Gapps? I've never dirty flashed before. Oh and by system thats the first wipe option in 4EXT correct?

Yup!

System wipes the /system folder.

Data wipes the /data folder

/data is where your settings and downloaded apps are saved to.

When you install gapps, they go into your /system folder. This is why you have to redo that after

Oh okay so I shouldn't have to restore any apps then correct? Because I'm used to always doing a fresh install and having to restore all of my backups with titanium backup. It's quite tedious.

Correct. At least with this update

Looking very sexy in here. Will wait till voicemail is working properly, then I'll definitely be flashing this.

Any possible fixes or work around for Visual Voicemail (besides using Google voice) or do you have an estimate on when this will be fixed. also does anyone else notice GPS seems to lose its lock a lot? Other wise it is by far the best rom for the Evo. Great work.

MMS.apk has crashed a few times and I wasn't even using it. Also it appears texting works but MMS is not functioning

Update

I flashed the MMS fix for CM 10.1 and it fixed the issues

The latest version must have some issue with google now as I hit the mic on the bar and it closes automatically. I did not have that issue on the previous one and yes I did a restart as well this was a clean install.

update the app and it wont crash

Oh, yeah I remember my automatically updated, since I had the new version installed on a different rom.

I still haven't got visual voice mail working but I've got notifications for voice mails kinda working. I flashed the "Sprint-VVM-from-E4GT-ICS-FE10.zip" file to see if it would work, like all this others it won't play the voice mails nor download them. but at least it will say "Pending voice mail" and have you dial in if you get a voice mail.

Nice rom, having a few hiccups. Did the fix to make it a 3D, and when I reboot the phone every other time I have done it today, it seems like the battery goes down drastically once rebooted and then I got stuck in a bootloop.

I restarted it a few times today because I was seeing if it was MHL compatible and the screen went wonky and did not display anything. I believe you have to have sense for MHL, but my other rom is mobsters unsensable and it does MHL.

Just my feedback...

DakMan you are awesome. You probably already know this, but evervolv 4.2.2 has visual voicemail working perfectly. Not sure how. Maybe its something to look at though.

Do you have a link for this information? I couldn't find anything on this, I check the rom and it doesn't have a voice mail app bulit in out of the box. I saw a few posts asking if there would be a fix coming nothing more.

Thanks.

SIDE NOTE:
FYI use this MMS fix not the normal CM10 on because it will not work. Dev-Host - CM10_1MMS with MmsFix+cache.zip - The Ultimate Free File Hosting / File Sharing Service

All i have is my own anecdotal evidence and the evidence of others that have found the same thing. I have flashed every 4.2.X rom out there just about and none of the cm10.1 based ones work with VVM. I have resinstalled evervolv on mine twice and my wife's and it worked. I flashed the newer sprint vvm apk from CM10.1 page and it worked perfectly. Problem was, evervolv had hardly any customization. I love Wild for the night but i dont know what is different between it and evervolv in regards to the voicemail.

If I'm not mistaken evervolv 4.2.2 is meant for the Evo 4G LTE. NOT the Evo 3D/EVO V 4G. but I would image something could be used from it to fix ours. Thats the only thing this rom is missing now for me. it's the best rom I've had for this phone otherwise. I hope we can get the older versions of visual voicemail working cause the newer white ones are annoying with all the trial crap in it. I had them working fine on CM9.

Btw for someone smarter than me here is the newest version of vvm :https://www.dropbox.com/s/ilc053hm9e3bigi/VVM_Widget.apk

It will notify you of pending voicemails but it will say it cannot download them and make you call.
It will not play the pre-recorded welcome messages or on the you compose in the app. Hopefully someone can fix this
