Agree. Plus they still don't have them down pact yet and mess with performance also even in the higher spec'd phones.

I could not imagine using an Android phone with no widgets.
I use widgetsoid to make my own custom widgets.
I have one on every (7) pages of my launcher.
My battery life is great, I average 18 to 24 hours plus every charge, i also use juice defender plus.

While I don't have 7 widgetsoid widgets, I do have one as well as many many others (Pandora, SiMi clock, TunIn, Multicon, Google Music, Minimalistic Text, Pure Grid Calendar, Screen filter, etc.) at all times. They never show up as using any significant amount of battery as long as I don't go crazy with refresh rates or anything.
Widgets are part of what makes Android special. It makes IOS seem out dated and user-unfriendly and makes the interface SO much more interesting and customizable.
I can't imagine Android without widgets. It is probably true there are some examples of poorly written code and battery-suckers, but with a little attention one can weed these out pretty easily.

I hope that on the dinc4g they keep the native ICS feature of "make any and all widgets resizeable."

March 15th, my first post in this thread. 4g3 was rumored to be released April 26th. If it had, I would have a five week old by now. Possibly a little scuffed up and probably waiting on a much needed update that never comes. Instead I'm still waiting. Craving a technology fix that's been escalating now for about ten weeks. I did this same slow dance a little over two years ago, and I must say it was totally worth it. Please 4g3, don't disappoint me. I don't think I can do this anymore. LMAO.
