Yeah i have been watching his videos for awhile now. He breaks things down so it's easy for us non lawyers can understand.

I really enjoyed the Josh Gates portions of the documentary and him commenting on things when he went on the Titan himself. Dude was honest as all get out and knew immediately that Stockton Rush was more of a car salesman and this point and was willing to tell anyone what they wanted to hear to make things sound like they were kosher so to speak.

Plus, it was just nice to see Josh talking like a normal human being and not this over the top reality star like he does now on Expedition Unknown.
 
I didn't have access to view the special. I would have enjoyed seeing it and I think I would have enjoyed Josh Gates segments. I like the guy. I think he is being paid to be everyone's weekly Indiana Jones fix so I try to see beyond that on Expedition Unknown.

True, just sometimes the over the top excitement can be a bit much for times it isn't warranted. One moment that really stands out is an episode where they visited a home owned by Hitler. They did some medal detecting in the front yard and what do you know they found a nail, a nail right, my boy acted like he was in Jerusalem and they discovered one of that nails that was used to crucify Jesus.

I saw that episode... your observation is spot on. :) There is at least one Eureka moment in every show. If they spend the big bucks to travel and setup and shoot and a nail is all they find.... a nail it is. It's like a weekly Geraldo Rivera Al Capone Vault show. If you find nothing... you air it anyway.

Not to spoil the documentary for you, but talk about money spent. After going to shot that episode with Stockton Rush and the Titan in 2021, Josh actually called up the President and CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery and told him he was sorry that a lot of money was put into shooting the episode, but there is no way we can air it. He told him if we air it, it looks like in a way we are promoting what he's doing and after seeing what he saw we just can't. The President took Josh's word for, thank God.

Stockton told Josh to his face that the second hatch that they were using had been tested multiple times in the Bahamas at so and so depths. Josh put the timeline together and figured out it was just a bold face lie. When he and Josh went down in the Titan they had so many problems they were having to write on pieces of paper and communicate with divers thru the window who were in the water. Nothing was working so they had to abort the mission. If you brought up any safety concerns you were either fired or told you just weren't being "adventurous" enough. It's all just still so unbelievable.
