Root mms and mirroring

Since you guys actually seem to know what your doing ;). I can not send mms nor can I mirror. Can you help? I don't want to mess up my phone again ;). Running mik 3.0 with anthrax kernal.

Are you on sprints network or flashed to a different one?

MSS should def be working on MIKG.

Have you tried doing a PRL and profile update? Easiest solution to try

On boost. Still a newbie with roots....not sure how to do that......with mirroring it seems my tv is getting a signal but no picture.

to get hdmi mirroring working you need to have a kernel that supports it. i think that mikg3.11 has just the stock kernel. however, most custom kernels will have the mirroring support.

On boost.

That's important info ;) your going to need the boost fix for mms (which I do not have since I'm on sprint.) There should he a boost flashing guide with it in there around here somewherez...

As far as hdmi in, I'm not positive anthrax supports it. It was in active development for a very short time.

Edit: didnt even notice you were the same poster as the other thread sorry I'm on my phone. I shouldve remembered you were on boost :(

heres a fix that i found - GO SMS PRO application

change the settings for MMS - Fill APN configuration manually - check mark that box

MMSC enter http: // mm.myboostmobile .com ( NO SPACES )

MMS PORT - 80

should be able to send MMS this way

When I put it in the dialer it asks for a password....not sure what that cld be. Shld it be mms.boost......? When i put it in the dial pad it reads Sprint....there are numerous boobie pics lost in mms land ;) the go mms pro isn't working either. Typo?

Nm worked ;). Now a kernal to mirror....that won't screw up my phone ;)

Try this out. I was having similar problems with my stock MMS not sending... this fixed my problem :)

1. Download APN Backup & Restore(Android Market)
2. Click Backup APNs
3. Goto your sdcard/ApnBackupRestore
4. Click the apn file and edit under windows or on your phone.
5. Look for the line that says Production and edit.....

<apn name="Production" numeric="00000" mcc="310" mnc="00" apn="1"

user="firstnamelastname@myboostmobile.sprintpcs.co m"(may varie) server="null" password="null proxy="null"

port="" mmsproxy="" mmsport="" mmsprotocol="2.0"

mmsc="http://mm.myboostmobile.com" type="mms" />

6. Save the file(make sure you save it)
7. Open the APN Backup & Restore program
8. Click delete APNs(Very important)
9. Click Restore APNs
10. Close the program
11. Goto messages>menu>settings>connection settings. Make sure everything is as you edited. You should see Name(Production), MMSC(http://mm.myboostmobile.com), MMS proxy(not set), MMS port(not set), MMS protocol(WAP 2.0).
12. If everything is just as it is, viola you are all set...

heres the copied and pasted apn from my evo that works so you dont have to manually type it all out. Only change the email portion YOURFIRSTANDLASTNAME thats in caps to what your boost acct is set up under.

<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' standalone='yes' ?>
<apns count="1">
<apn name="Production" numeric="00000" mcc="310" mnc="00" apn="1" user="CHANGE YOURFIRSTANDLASTNAME@myboostmobile.sprintpcs.com" server="null" password="null" proxy="null" port="" mmsproxy="" mmsport="" mmsprotocol="2.0" mmsc="http://mm.myboostmobile.com" type="mms" />
</apns>
