one thing about the thread i linked, that was during the froyo days so disregard the rom and kernel setups. unless you want to go back to froyo then go for it. just keep in mind that the froyo kernel will not work on gingerbread roms.

Are we good here? There was mention of boobie pics so I thought I should offer my assistance

MSL Reader should provide the code you need when using EPST in the Phone Dialer (##DATA#).
Then you should be able to change your MMS settings under "Advanced" if you scroll down to "MMS Server URL", which someone provided for Boost above (http://mm.myboostmobile.com). For Sprint, that's "http://mms.sprintpcs.com". Once you change it, make sure you choose "Commit Modifications" from the Menu, to make sure it's saved.
EDIT: You may also have to change the HTTP proxy settings. They're usually defaulted to Sprint, so you may just have to delete the server IP address and change the port (to what, I'm not sure - perhaps 80?). That may or may not actually affect MMS retrieval.
EDIT 2: It might also work if you replace the apns-conf.xml file in /system/etc with one that has the Boost settings (that might actually work the best).
As far as HDMI mirroring goes, the AnthraX kernel works for me out of the box (make sure you don't hae the HDMwIn app installed). You can also try the LionFish, Underworld, or Classic kernels, which all support it as well.

I love you guys. Boobie pms coming shortly . I did have hdmiwin installed.....uninstalled and everything works great.....except......hulu ;( but I can live with that tytyty

Hulu won't work because of Adobe Flash - Android isn't supported. I do have a hacked version that should get it working for you, if you want.

You have to use the Desktop version of the hulu site, but it definitely works.
Did you ever get MMS working? If the EPST fix doesn't work, I think editing the apn config file should (or perhaps some combination of the two).
